mind you this is page 78.
“A 26-year-old Chicago real estate agent bought a box of unknown negatives at a thrift auction in 2007 for around $400.
He took it home and found thousands of street photographs taken by a French-American nanny who had carried a Rolleiflex around her neck for forty years and shown her work to no one.
She had lost the storage locker for unpaid rent. She died poor in 2009 not knowing her photographs were being seen.
Vivian Maier is now considered one of the greatest American street photographers of the 20th century.”

An Australian scientist took 800,000 human brain cells, kept them alive in a dish, wired them to a computer, and taught the cells to play the video game Pong in five minutes, which is faster than any AI on Earth had ever learned the same game.
His name is Brett Kagan.

Catching up with gossip from a million years is the most amazing thing. And all the old rivalries melted into nothing; only the madness and love stayed.
How do you feel about driving?
I can drive, I am good at driving, I enjoy driving.
I can drive, I am good at driving, I do not enjoy driving.
I can drive, I am bad at driving, I enjoy driving.
I can drive, I am bad at driving, I do not enjoy driving.
I haven't learned to drive, I think I would enjoy driving.
I haven't learned to drive, I do not think I would enjoy driving.
I can't drive anymore, I was good at it, I enjoyed driving.
I can't drive anymore, I was good at it, I didn't enjoy it.
I can't drive anymore, I was bad at it, I enjoyed it.
I can't drive anymore, I was bad at it, I didn't enjoy it.
i like when fiction treats love as a more complicated force and not something that is inherently pure, redemptive, or salvific. portray it as flawed and complex as any other human impulse. give me love as prejudice, love as possessive stasis, love as addiction, love as blindness, etc.
