you were the first to ask for the Narnians, so Narnians it is (which worked out nicely because it's been literal years since I read the Jackaby books so basically all I remember is the Dramatic Thing That Happens in book 4 and how fond I am of Charlie xD)!

favorite thing about them: the combination of nobility with lightheartedness/earnest enthusiasm for things--I'm thinking particularly the balance between the freeing of the Lone Islands, and the "o___o round earth?! we have those in our fairy tales why didn't you SAY anything about this"/*references an Earth fairy tale as part of a pickup line* type of things, if that makes any sense. (also sam west's and ben barnes's faces. but that goes without saying even if west is the more canonically correct for being blond)
least favorite thing about them: the suddenness with which he begins wooing Ramandu's daughter out of nowhere always takes me a little aback, but that may just be the part of me that daydreams Dawn Treader OC fanfiction in the back of my head so.
favorite line: there's nothing particularly dramatic but I rather like "No, Reepicheep, you are not to attempt single combat with it" (i.e. the bedragoned Eustace) OH WAIT I just looked at Silver Chair for grins and found "But one can't be a ghost in one's own country." There we go.
brOTP: Peter (in Prince Caspian) and Edmund (in Dawn Treader) (movies, books, take your pick)
OTP: ngl I was rather a fan of Lucy/Caspian fics in high school
nOTP: Suspian. WHY. That movie isn't the same degree of hot trash as the Disney Dawn Treader (obligatory acknowledgement of good actors) but those LINES. someone please take a TARDIS and go slap some sense into the writers who thought "You might need to call me" was the equivalent of giving Susan character depth. My skin crawls just typing that, eugh. You know they just wanted an excuse for someone to kiss Ben Barnes.
unpopular opinion: idk I'm not really a controversial person xD I've known people who can't bear Lucian, and plenty of people like Suspian, but I'm not alone in either of those opinions so *shrugs*

favorite thing about them: I'm going to go with her mothering tendencies (always concerned about the practicalities of things like the coats! wanting things to be safe! getting a bad feeling about seeing the lamppost as adults!) but also her ending. Yes I like the ending. May I take this opportunity to highlight the tiny fic I wrote when I discovered I liked it. Thank you.
least favorite thing about them: she does feel a little overlooked with Lucy being the more common perspective of the two sisters, but that's just me relating to her older sister tendencies and wanting more of her perspective xD
favorite line: I'm going to go with moments here again--I was paging through the books and in LWW, when she's speaking to the newly resurrected Aslan:
"You're not--not a--" asked Susan in a shaky voice. She couldn't bring herself to say the word ghost. Aslan stooped his golden head and licked her forehead.
Then, after an awful pause, the deep voice said, "Susan." Susan made no answer but the others thought she was crying. "You have listened to fears, child," said Aslan. "Come, let me breathe on you. Forget them. Are you brave again?" "A little, Aslan, said Susan.
As I've gotten older, I see aspects of myself in Susan, and the love Aslan always shows her even when she is hanging back and her faith is weakened is so comforting.
brOTP: she literally has three siblings, I'd think this one is obvious xD
OTP: I don't have one for her actually! Let her be part of a loving family, beloved by all Narnia and by the Son of the Emperor over the Sea. That's enough.
nOTP: Suspian. In case you hadn't gathered that already.
random headcanon: she definitely keeps up a friendship with Mrs. Beaver, especially in the early days of ruling at Cair Paravel. Even mother figures need a mother to turn to when it's too much.
unpopular opinion: liking her and her ending isn't necessarily unpopular, is it? It's part of what helped bond me to her once I got old enough to realize I was much more like her than like Lucy.
song i associate with them: hm okay I've got a few here. First, I don't listen to Taylor Swift but Maria (@itspileofgoodthings) does so I've picked up titles/lyrics/etc. and the lyrics for "This Is Me Trying" seem like they could fit? esp. "And it's hard to be at a party when I feel like an open wound" but the words all feel very much like Susan after Narnia to me.
second, for more of that lovely torn-between-things feeling, try "Valentine Candy or Boxing Gloves" from The Happiest Millionaire. The concrete images aren't 100% Susan of course, but the vibe just feels right.
And finally, "The King of Love My Shepherd Is," for Aslan always drawing her back to himself.
favorite picture of them: the first picture of Susan I remember seeing was this illustration by Deborah Maze in Lucy Steps Into the Wardrobe; the coronation art in Aslan's Triumph was lovelier but I can't find a picture online (Anna Popplewell is gorgeous but everyone knows what she looks like already).
