And also a flower rock, just because.

One more for tonight:
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
I'm starting to think that maybe I just don't like Regency-era guys (specifically Regency-era hairstyles) because, while I do like this guy better than one of the Darcys, at least aesthetically speaking, he is still not doing it for me.
~~~
Ask me how hot that character is!
For the hotness ask game ...That guy with the dreadlocks Dreamer sent you is certainly attractive, but I personally prefer his friend:
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
Sorry, my friend, but I'm on Dreamer's side in this debate — this fellow is cute enough and looks like someone I would also want to be friends with, but aesthetically, he is not inspiring swooning. (That said, I feel like that could change if I actually watched the show he's in.)
Hotness showdown: Howl Pendragon, movie vs book versions.
@cat-dragoness also asked for Howl Pendragon, but hers was either/or, and I like the idea of a hotness showdown better.
Credit to tiredmichiko for the book fanart (the most accurate I could find).
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
Movie Howl is adorable and very easy on the eyes, as Ghibli characters tend to be. (Also: fluffy hair! I am not immune to fluffy hair.) However, I do prefer Book Howl, who is simultaneously very suave and kind of a nerd and has impeccable fashion sense and a more interesting face. Also, Movie Howl might fluster me; Book Howl definitely would.
Trick or treat?
You get a little guy
For the fandom character ask: Aragorn
favorite thing about them: joke answer is the Helm's Deep doors in the movie, serious answer is the Christological symbolism. hands of a healer, coming into his own city, the whole shebang.
least favorite thing about them: Viggo Mortensen's voice gets reedy at the weirdest times, if that counts xD
favorite line: in no particular order--1. "It is a fair tale, though it is sad, as are all the tales of Middle-earth, and yet it may lift up your hearts." 2. 'Do we walk in legends or on the green earth in the daylight?’ ‘A man may do both,’ said Aragorn. ‘For not we but those who come after will make the legends of our time.' 3. 'How shall a man judge what to do in such times?’ ‘As he ever has judged,’ said Aragorn. ‘Good and ill have not changed since yesteryear; nor are they one thing among Elves and Dwarves and another among Men. It is a man’s part to discern them, as much in the Golden Wood as in his own house.’
brOTP: Boromir obviously but is it weird if I also say Eowyn, with the whole "i've wished you joy since first I saw you"? I know I wishfully read big brother vibes onto him a bit but I can totally see him being such good friends with Eowyn and Faramir.
OTP: Arwen fricking Undomiel there is no other answer
nOTP: literally anyone who is not Arwen fricking Undomiel (this is why i am so conflicted that the first piece of fanfiction i remember reading on ff.net as a tiny high schooler was, yes, a legolas/oc fic, impactful/nostalgically precious/probably average writing, but her friend got paired off with aragorn as;ldkjfasdlkfj)
random headcanon: I don't do those, I leave headcanoning to those who are wizards like @ penny-anna i think the url is? the really good in-character stuff
unpopular opinion: look i'm BAD at these i have very conventional opinions which generally are: book canon good, movie departures from canon various shades of not-good depending on how drastically they alter the character in question. Which is generally how popular opinions go I think.
song i associate with them: the Eagle's Song by the Tolkien Ensemble because it's about his return and triumph.
favorite picture of them: idk offhand but the red-tunic looks are pretty good?
asks here!
For the music asks...
A song or album from the 50s or earlier (covers of folk songs or hymns or something absolutely count):
Do you play any instruments?
A song you like in a language you don’t speak:
14. A song or album from the 50s or earlier:
I thought I might have to do Broadway or a movie musical BUT i realized Songs of the Sea by the Normal Luboff Choir exists on Spotify! but also as far as hymns go I really am partial to The Lily of the Valley.
24. Do you play any instruments?
Piano! and I can mess around on the ocarina a bit, though I'm not good at technique so my high notes are squeaky and I forget which fingering positions are right for them. I own a guitar but have made zero headway in sitting down to work at it so may not keep it, we'll see
35. A song you like in a language you don’t speak:
I think I may have already mentioned La Noble Vila de Su (in Catalan), so I'll go with Tri Martolod by the Longest Johns which I think is in Breton iirc!
Trick or treat!
Welcome! Have a treat. (Don't eat it, though.)
