I'm starting to think that maybe I just don't like Regency-era guys (specifically Regency-era hairstyles) because, while I do like this guy better than one of the Darcys, at least aesthetically speaking, he is still not doing it for me.

Sorry, my friend, but I'm on Dreamer's side in this debate — this fellow is cute enough and looks like someone I would also want to be friends with, but aesthetically, he is not inspiring swooning. (That said, I feel like that could change if I actually watched the show he's in.)

Movie Howl is adorable and very easy on the eyes, as Ghibli characters tend to be. (Also: fluffy hair! I am not immune to fluffy hair.) However, I do prefer Book Howl, who is simultaneously very suave and kind of a nerd and has impeccable fashion sense and a more interesting face. Also, Movie Howl might fluster me; Book Howl definitely would.

unpopular opinion: look i'm BAD at these i have very conventional opinions which generally are: book canon good, movie departures from canon various shades of not-good depending on how drastically they alter the character in question. Which is generally how popular opinions go I think.

I thought I might have to do Broadway or a movie musical BUT i realized Songs of the Sea by the Normal Luboff Choir exists on Spotify! but also as far as hymns go I really am partial to The Lily of the Valley.

Piano! and I can mess around on the ocarina a bit, though I'm not good at technique so my high notes are squeaky and I forget which fingering positions are right for them. I own a guitar but have made zero headway in sitting down to work at it so may not keep it, we'll see
