A pair of turksheads, with coxcomb hitching in between.
I don’t often post my needle point stuff here, usually on insta or twit, but each of those leaves took me 20 minutes each to do in fishbone stitch. The original pattern only called for grey-green stem stitch on the outlines and middle. I just chose to be extra with a fancy stitch and fancy variegated thread. The stems will be in an olive couched stitch because I’m going to continue to be extra on this thing.
Oh and I should point out that this is my FIRST attempt at this kind of fancywork. I’ve only ever cross stitched and hand sewed clothing before. And I started it today.
