most people love her, or hate her. rarely is it a case of in between.

confident and bold, the kind of extrovert who can talk to anyone about absolutely any topic. where she lacks sensitivity towards others' plights or pains, she can be a decent friend, especially for people who don’t mind her rarely being the one to ask “how are you”. i would say her a lot of her allure is her charismatic boldness, knowing what she wants and needs from the world around and her drive to achieve even the impossible. 

seemingly endless ambition, she’s a lime light hog and that extends beyond standing on a stage. when she sets her sight on something, i would move out of her way, she’s a bullet train who do be manifesting her destiny every day of the week like it’s no big deal lol.

she doesn’t like to take no for an answer. competitive, an enabler and a girl boss gatekeeper at times. she isn’t the type of person to show off an “attitude” she’d prefer to mock and gaslight and regina george her way through situations she doesn’t like.

surprisingly, she can be very impressionable. if she likes someone, she’ll do anything to make them happy or want her. she wants people to love her first and foremost. when her overzealous attention gets set on someone, there’s nowhere she won’t go and nothing she won’t brave to keep them. extremely doting and affectionate.

once she gives her loyalty it’s usually for the long haul. she remembers promises and doesn’t give her word unless she means it, so she will wisely and cutely side step any major commitments unless they’re authentic. this means when she says she’ll do something, be there or that she has your back, you can Believe that.

common complaints from exes: that she tries too hard, she’s too desperate and intense. common compliments from exes: that she makes you feel like the center of the universe.

sometimes her bratty energy is so strong it’s hilarious and sad at the same time.

she’s a texter. if you call her, she won’t answer, but she will send back within a few minutes, “what’s up?”

she also likes streaks on snow/snap, and if you start one she’ll tease you and pout if you let it die and beg you to start another with her.

her korean can be pretty poor even to this day. she didn’t use her korean very much at all as a child and only started learning when she came to korea. She enjoys speaking english with her friends and i’d say it’s a fast track to getting to know her at her most natural.

debuting with ultraviolet in just 2019 she’s still learning the ins and outs of being an idol. she trained for around 3 years before debuting and her energy was very stressed during those trainee years. she didn’t have any formal dance or vocal training before joining the company, merely a personal interest in singing from a young age. she was playing catch up not only with her technical skills but with her korean.

she went into foster care at a young age, and bounced around for a while before being adopted. her adopted family is the only one listed in her profiles, her birth parents or life in that manner is never mentioned. that said, she’s not really close to her adopted family at all. she leans her entire support system into being an idol and being with her group members. she doesn’t talk to her family very often. she raised herself and it’s clear in her personality and the way she’ll talk about her family when it’s brought up .she has some abandonment issues, and craves attention and love for everyone and anyone. it’s how she ended up an idol in the first place.

she has more passion for singing than rapping, but so far that hasn’t meant anything for her career.

she believes if she tries hard enough, people will love her no matter what her flaws, and that they’ll never leave. she craves a sort of “forever” from anyone and everything, which is very unrealistic and causes her a lot of pain.

her current idol image is mostly known as her face and personality, her talents are the secondary thing that comes to mind. 

her favorite groups are other girl groups. learns all of the other groups dances and songs. she remembers the names of everyone in the industry more or less, even the other rookies and some trainees she learns the names of.

to expand more on this, sung is excitable. she takes an inch and gives a mile, which can be nice in some situations, but especially as a child it caused her to push potential friends away by being Too Much. as she’s aged, she’s learned to tone this down, but it’s still a work in progress

in many ways, a pretty traditionally feminine type of girl. she likes being ~pretty, has been cooking from a young age, likes playing homemaker, is very emotional, like jesus the amount that this gorl can cry... you’d think she’d run out eventually, but Nope

tries to be optimistic when possible. brains aren’t always that nice, and sung deals with those struggles too. but she’s a big advocate for talking about your feelings and feeling your feelings so they can be expelled and go away healthily. she tries to observe that as well, but she’s not as good at talking about her deepest non happy emotions, and tends to curl inward in those times. every other emotion level Will be shared and worn on her sleeve though, even to strangers lmao

very physically affectionate. she’s not Particularly careful about gender divides with this, and it applies to anyone she considers a friend, which honestly doesn’t take much

she comes from a very traditional and devout catholic family, though, and it’s framed a lot of her ways of thinking. especially when she was younger, she had mindsets like the ‘love you, but not your lifestyle’ and needed to break out of that when she was exposed to more queer people through the industry. she also has decently strong opinions on things like over-drinking, smoking, sleeping around, and can be a little judgmental over those things

for the most part, she doesn’t ever intend to start arguments. she wants to get on with everyone. one of few times she’s full on cold to someone is if they’re an ex of a close friend who treated them badly, because she’s very loyal and ‘if you hate them i hate them’ type of friend

sung was born with a fraternal twin to parents that owned an itty bitty restaurant together. and it’s very bob’s burgers they barely scraped by

but when sung was about ~9, her dad caught some luck, and was always away from home doing business meetings for the shop. then by the time sung was 10, the whole family packed up to start building a chain for their restaurant

sung already struggled making friends before moving, but moving made it a bit worse. she became an idol fan as an escape, and started dancing because of it

when she was 17, her family settled down in seoul as a new permanent location, and sung saw it as her opportunity to be the idol she’d dreamt she could be over the last 6 years of dancing

her luck wouldn’t be the Greatest, though, as she’d fall into a scam for a couple of months

she developed higher standards for checking for scams, started training at a real company, but had to find out through an article online that the company had shut down

her parents wanted her to give up, but up to that point, she’d only auditioned for smaller companies because of the higher success rate. she presented a plan to audition for only the top five companies, and they eventually agreed to that

however, it still took a year of auditioning for bc ent to accept her

and when she was accepted, she didn’t train for long at all before being put on candy shop, then straight to debut

career/image

sung’s public persona isn’t very different from who she is. like with most idols, she has to put on a happy face even when she’s not feeling so hot, but beyond that, who she is, is what the public sees

she’s a sunshine/vitamin archetype

her appeal as an idol according to the public has three main sections. at the top, personality, then second is her looks, and third would be dancing

though she really enjoyed candy shop (as a fan of healthy competitiveness - mostly against herself) it introduced her to the public and made her aware that what she’s most proud of, her dancing, falls behind looks, which she’s always worried people will value her for over who she is. while i think personality wins over looks, i don’t think sung sees it that way, and it’s a sore spot for her

being in candy in general is great for her, tho. she adores the music, the styling, the image, some of the choreo. then again, she’s also gone viral twice with candy (shy shy shy, and a dance the night away fancam) so it’s inevitable she’ll have nice feelings towards it lol

in her future career, she’ll have focuses mostly on modelling and choreography methinks, so if anyone would like a choreographer, hit sung up

plots

sung’s fave group of all is lily so anything around her being starry eyed. maybe it makes for a nice successful fan connection or your muse doesn’t fit sung’s expectations and it breaks sung’s rose tinted glasses

she’s also a fan of idols and the idol world in general tho! she has favorites, but even if she isn’t a big fan of your group, she probably knows your choreography. could be your muse thinks she’s a bigger fan than she is because of clips of her dancing to their songs, or she genuinely is a big fan, or them doing challenge videos together a lot

negative plots are great since they’re not all that common with a sung type! men who’ve done her dirty, people she’s been judgmental to, people who get turned away by her overwhelming and sudden affection, or maybe the practice room monster she turns into rubs someone the wrong way at one point

late 2019 to right now, i have in my head that sung would be dating, but i’ve left what this time looks like as an open plot. so, this could be multiple relationships one after the next, or a three year relationship. if someone wants to take up a current plot, i have this Thot... hear me out. so she’s dating this person for some amount of time and for some reason, they break up real time in-verse and because she felt the most in luv w this person over anyone else she’s dated, it hits hard, and she makes decisions that breach her morals (aka full sleepin w someone when up to this point she’d have been a ‘technical’ virgin to appease her own religious rules) this could all be talked about more in depth in dms since this is getting quite long, but it’s the first storyline i have in mind for sung personally

her family moved to australia when she was ten so u know the drill here, she’s ultraviolet’s quintessential english speaking member

she went by harley when she was in australia, so she’s sticking to it now

rarely goes by her korean name. that’s a close friends & family only privilege!

randomly joined a band in high school (formed by a senior she had a huuuuge crush on back then) which is how she picked up singing + the guitar

she started posting covers on youtube for a while, and was building up a fairly decent following, so that’s how she got scouted!

then came her training years for ~3 years, from 2016-2019

the band was, naturally, not too happy about her leaving them for a better opportunity but 1) she never really fit in with them anyway and 2) the thing about yulhee is that she’s more selfish than it might appear?

this ties in with a paradox to her personality, because harley is self-interested in the sense that she will adamantly do what she wants or what she sees best for herself, but at the same time she can also be really focused on what other people think about her. idk how to explain this well, and i feel like this is something that can be better portrayed as i write her more so i’m sorry for this terrible explanation omg

but in general, she just has quite a strong individualistic personality that does show, even though at the same time she’s also very externally motivated and tends to base her identity upon other people.

i see her as someone with a very shaky sense of self at the moment, and has never had a clear idea of who she really is or really is supposed to be?

i meannnn. girlie here is your typical kid who grew up with little to no attention in a big empty house, and so she really lives off validation, for the most part

idealistic, perfectionist, temperamental, impulsive in the sense that she doesn’t know what it means to have consequences for your actions and she doesn’t want to learn

i do feel like.... this iteration of harley has a bit more spunk in her! like deep down, she feels like she’s got something to prove. likes being a pretty face as gold star wants her to be, but also wants to be something more, but also wants to show that you can be a pretty face and something more all at the same time.

gold star has been pushing her it girl reputation, so her solo activities have leaned more towards the modelling and fashion scene. she would like to contribute to creative processes more though, and at this point she does have interest in songwriting!

just like joohwan, joohyun was born in buenos aires, argentina, but she was three years old when the two of them moved to busan to live with their grandmother, so she doesn’t remember much. 

she was always the well behaved, good grandkid, to contrast her brother’s rebellious phases. so she also got pretty used to being able to do whatever she wanted, since she’s always had her grandparents’ trust. 

as a kid, she started taking jazz classes at her grandmother’s studio, and she never really ventured into anything else besides that and was happy about it. in school, she played mostly sports, down to becoming a part of the girls’ football team in elementary + early middle school. 

went with her brother so he could do a private audition to dimensions and was asked to audition as well. she ended up dancing and got the spot (mostly because she was cute and also young enough dimensions could shape her as much as they wanted). joohwan didn’t stay in dimensions, but joohyun decided to sign with them. she was thirteen. 

trained for five years. soon she realised other dancers were much better than her and she decided it’d be better for her to focus on something else, so she started training her vocals. 

joohyun is super competitive and not in a... i have to be better than the me of yesterday way, she’s competitive in a i need to be the best at x or y in the room, otherwise i’m not good enough. which, you know... inevitably leads to some self hatred but also some awkward situations with others. 

ended up as one of the main vocalists of andromeda, but she hasn’t rly been pushed a lot for her vocals. instead, dimensions decided to drag her into acting. it was never a priority or particular interest for her, and she even got some criticism for the first role she did bc she wasn’t rly good at acting then and only improved after. but at this point she has accepted that it’s still a way for her to get her name out there so she can use it to her advantage in the future. 

background

born in san francisco on christmas eve in 1997. ash’s dad is an engineer and his mom is a journalist and photographer.

they had him young, but some family money on his dad’s side and a few good gos at the stock market kept them comfortable. they weren’t mega rich, not exactly fuck you money, but they always lived very comfortably with few financial worries. if asked, ash would say he grew up in ~an average middle class american household~ but he went to private school and lived in a nice townhome in san francisco so,,,

he very clearly loved music from a young age and began playing piano at four and violin at five. took to them both very naturally. down the line, he’d start dancing at seven and playing guitar.

he competed in some piano and violin competitions here and there and was pretty successful. ask ash around middle school and he would have said his career goal was being a jazz pianist

he would go to australia often over the summer with his mom when he was a kid because his mom was born in australia and she did some work there.

he auditioned for dimensions entertainment on a whim on a trip to los angeles and got offered a trainee contract, and he moved to seoul right when he turned thirteen. he didn’t know korean very well, and he was near immediately (like.. a few days/weeks after moving to seoul) thrown into a television show next generation with five other trainees.

next generation was like??? hell for him. dude was there like a week and they said ok ok cool you can handle being the main vocal, a dancer, and a rapper for this show right?? even though your korean is Not Good so you can’t even understand what’s going on ? and ash didn’t know what he was getting into.

they lost and ash felt kinda responsible for it? like dude was not prepared and didn’t understand what anyone was saying so he wanted to leave when the show was over but he couldn’t because contract.

so he remained a trainee because he had to and he was a lonely trainee. he was pretty much a shoe-in for polaris’s debut lineup unless something went terribly wrong from like day one of being in dimensions since he’d been on the show and that was a lot of pressure. he threw his all into training to live up to his all-arounder/triple threat/golden maknae/boy wonder type of image from next generation, but he was a member known for not participating in the youtube logs as much. pretty much set the tone for his idol image (good at everything except uhhhh,,, connecting with fans and being likeable?)

during this time, he took songwriting more seriously as a method of bettering his language skills and added that to his resume by the time polaris debuted.

he debuted at fifteen as the maknae, main vocal, lead dancer, and rapper of polaris. he was talented, especially for a kid so young, but wasn’t great at the whole idol thing still.

he had a couple of attitude controversies mostly caused by cultural differences or ash not being great at communicating, but they’ve been mostly forgotten now though people who don’t like him will point him out as moody/rude/attention-seeking still.

the first few years of his career were generally okay. he stayed in the background and didn’t branch out into solo activities, keeping to himself and trying to find ways to enjoy the fact he was living his dream. it didn’t live up to what he expected because he valued freedom so much and didn’t get a lot of it and he admittedly hated being the maknae of the group because it felt like he was never taken as seriously

wrote and produced their first ~big~ song “i need u” and got taken more seriously by the company and fans as a songwriter and producer after that. has worked on several polaris songs as well as others since. notably, wrote “spring day” and gets those good good longest charting song royalty checks as well as some other songs for polaris and calypso

in 2017, he released trouble maker with another idol, which helped him make an individual name for himself

he made his solo debut later that year. he was only nineteen at the time but the solo debut really got his name out there as an individual and a songwriter with an identity separate from polaris (the romantic but angsty r&b boy with the honey vocals ; would eventually grow into the image of a james dean rebellious heartthrob type) and though he was only nineteen, he started to shape a career of his own.

was enjoying his ability to branch out as a solo even though it put more of a spotlight on him. the year after his solo debut, polaris really started to break out in the us (where he had to take on a more prominent role in interviews than he ever had because of his english fluency) and he released his second album

had a dating rumor not long after his solo debut because a sasaeng had gotten pissed at him for ~not being thankful enough to his fans~ but that was quashed extremely quickly by dimensions because they couldn’t have their saving grace boy group go down like that. it garnered some talk and to this day, his antis try to connect him with the actress the dating rumor had been with. 

dimensions pushed him because he was doing well, and he only started doing better. he released successful solo music and wrote successful songs. everything seemed great on the career side of this life.

he was getting brand deals, magazine covers, solo concerts, solo fanmeetings, songwriting gigs, etc., but he continued to struggle a lot behind the scenes mentally, and after an ankle injury in 2018, his physical health took a hit.

had another dating rumor in 2019 because a girl’s private instagram got leaked and there were pictures of him / of them together, but they weren’t compromising enough dimensions couldn’t paint it as friendship. the girl wasn’t someone the public really liked tho so even being friends with her took a hit on his image.

also started to come into himself more at this time and was determined to give less of a shit about what people thought. has gotten tattoos and facial (and nipple and navel) piercings since, which he’s also gotten hate comments for.

he didn’t plan on renewing his contract with dimensions in 2020 because he wanted to leave and live a normal life, but he was in a very bad place mentally and had a lot of people around him (like managers) pressuring him to re-sign (a consequence of his social circle being so industry-based because he got into it so young :/) so he ended up re-signing. honestly was in such a bad place he doesn’t even totally remember why he did it but he did so :/

ended up hospitalized shortly after re-signing due to an ankle injury + because of mental health issues / physical health issues 

and then last summer, when he took a mental health break because he was still in a bad place and spiraling because he realized he was trapped in a contract for another six years

he’s sensitive so the amount of hate he gets and the anti campaigns does get to him, but he’s actively trying to care less.

very much struggles with the idea of wanting to be true to himself and knowing that if he conforms a little more, he’ll get less hate

personality

romantic, reckless, independent, idealistic to a fault while also being painfully jaded, and creative

perhaps a little more reckless than he should be as an idol with so many eyes on him and he oscillates between extreme paranoia that prevents him from living his life to complete disregard for his status as a celebrity

like there are definitely blind items abt him on, like, western celeb gossip sites that aren’t a good look for an idol but no one really pays attention to them especially in korea so

pretty damn insecure personally, but more secure in himself professionally since he’s established himself as a respected songwriter/producer and is, you know, Mega Famous. still validates himself on chart success a lot tho rip and does doubt his own abilities and struggles with artistic fulfillment at times

cares deeply for those close to him but isolates himself a lot, so isn’t always the best at showing it

is the kind of person who’s hard to get close to. has been burned and had his privacy invaded countless times before + nowadays it’s hard to tell who talks to him for him and who talks to him for the connections, so he keeps a lot close to his chest and when he does open up, that’s often followed by him becoming even more distant. this is an issue both in friendships and romantic relationships. has had either a very small circle of friends or basically no friends at different points in his life since moving to seoul. even fans call him basically a loner with no friends

depending on the day, his first impression can be kind of cold and quiet? that’s his idol image and he’s very introverted and reserved around strangers.

he’s a workaholic, but only in regards to work he cares about or feels the need to prove himself in. will not be a workaholic for the sake of being productive in an area he could not give two shits about

as a Serious and Established^tm producer, ash would love to work on songs for people, even if they don’t get released. dropping by his studio to work on a track is the easiest way to actually socialize with him, so give me people with solo ambitions ash helps out by working on a few tracks for, people ash asks to sing demos for him, people who he helps teach songwriting/producing, other songwriters and producers he respects, etc.

friends? ash is not good at keeping friends, but i’d like him to have some. especially people he might have met outside of a work setting.

romantically, ash has been very messy, especially in more recent times (like mid-2017 to end of 2020)  — a lot of flings, hookups, messy relationships, so he’s open to a few of those kinds of plots. (open to all genders, but generally around his age or older). could have either been incredibly emotionally intense for him or completely lacking in emotional intimacy on his end, likely not a whole lot of in-between because he does not do moderation. could also be people he rejected (may have led them on) because of his emotional hang-ups

people who hate him for all his character flaws or sometimes reckless behavior or are wary of him because of his image or because they encountered messy!ash off the clock

calypso members.... listen, i don’t have exact ideas necessarily but i headcanon ash has a soft spot for them since they’re his seniors and he’s written some songs for them . like he promos all of their comebacks n maybe is allowed to be a little more openly friendly with them ?? idk just a thought

one of the few friends he trusted enough to confide in in 2020 when he was in a really bad place and re-signed with dimensions. they encouraged him to leave like he wanted to but when he did re-sign he felt ashamed and shut them out and they have like no clue why because they were just being a good friend

alcohol, drugs, substance abuse // ash gave sobriety a try in early 2021 but it didn’t work out. so, someone who he used to be and/or still is messy and drinks / parties (/ worse) with ? could also be someone he had a bad influence on and got them into it yikes . but either way maybe they had a falling out now or support him idk . 

ash is into filmmaking (he’s directed a few music videos) and photography, so people who will be his model / muse for photo shoots or videos that will never see the light of day. or have him be your muse’s insta husband for their artsy insta feed. 

ash spent a lot of his summers there with his mom growing up, so maybe a childhood summer friend he had in australia that he coincidently met again as an idol would be cute ?

This bitch had a big ego and celebrity syndrome. You know, the whole I was born to be famous, step aside, my subjets. Eunyoung used to be the good version of Queen Bee during that time.

Life was not so kind to her, though. As we know, she debuted with Tilt my Head and that's when she knew that was the lowest point in her life, thank you very much.

She has no family members in the industry. She just always liked performing and singing, since she used to do that in church.

Funny how she went from church to what she does now.

She was never the most popular member of Calypso. Her popularity fluctuates a whole lot, but not enough to make her stand out. She has released a bunch of soundtracks over the years, but that means people know more about her voice and not her face or even that she's part of a group.

01 ─ born in daegu! yiseul doesn’t have an impressive background and comes from just another family struggling to make ends meet, mother was a lady with a nasty temper and father tried his best but never had much of a say as her mother did. 02 ─ learned that keeping her mouth shut was the way of life, so she wouldn’t step on her mother’s toes. 03 ─ but she was still always an active child? in the sense that she never could keep still. was always tapping her feet or moving along to any song she hears. 04 ─ so eventually developed a love for dancing and she channeled all her energy into it. was probably president of her high schools dance club and everything. 05 ─ asked her parents if she could go to a dance class like once but got into deep sh*t for it so she sucked it up and just watched performances on television, which she spent enough time on to bring up her own dancing skills to a standard that was decent enough to pass gold star’s audition. 06 ─ anyway it’s safe to say she’s never had too much of an affinity with home, so when an opportunity came for her to leave, she took it without needing to think. 07 ─ UMMM so yea she grew into a person that’s very emotionally stunted and might come across as detached. keeps everything to herself, kind of has no idea how to navigate most social situations. bec that’s just how she grew up. 08 ─ she’s just that one introvert standing in the corner of the room fiddling with her fingers. also picks the window seat every single time :’ ) it’s fine someday she will learn to be a functioning member of society it’s fine 😭 09 ─ the type that doesn’t speak much, but when she does speak, it’s likely straightforward & without twists and turns. for reference (if needed lmao) i see her as a mix between krystal herself, apink’s naeun and also rv’s irene!

. just wanted to be a dancer, not an idol, but his parents didn't think just being a dancer would be enough to secure his livelyhood so he became an idol because that was the closest he could think of

. he is a tease and flirts as a mean of friendship. if he flirts with you, he likes you (as a person). however fan service? he will die before that happens.

. is rlly passionnate about dancing and will fight anyone who says idols can't dance.

. he's pretty straightforward and isn't really that sensitive to hate so he tends to shield the other members of polaris when hate is directed at them.

. heavily involved in choreographies for his group, but is starting to branch out to choreographing for other groups as well.

. bad at anything else than dancing tbh
