quick tldr;

couple of fun facts for all of you:

. just wanted to be a dancer, not an idol, but his parents didn't think just being a dancer would be enough to secure his livelyhood so he became an idol because that was the closest he could think of

. he is a tease and flirts as a mean of friendship. if he flirts with you, he likes you (as a person). however fan service? he will die before that happens.

. is rlly passionnate about dancing and will fight anyone who says idols can't dance.

. he's pretty straightforward and isn't really that sensitive to hate so he tends to shield the other members of polaris when hate is directed at them.

. heavily involved in choreographies for his group, but is starting to branch out to choreographing for other groups as well.

baek jaeyoon is the son of a seamstress who works making costumes for theatre. his mom, baek seulgi, had him considerably young (she was 23) and his father was a one night stand so you know. no dad while he was a kid.

basically raised in the theatre, as soon as he was old enough for it he started taking drama classes that the company paid for because his mom couldn’t afford it but everybody loved her so you know. the least they could do.

his mom remarried when jaeyoon was a kid and his step-dad is great like he genuinely genuinely is excellent towards seulki and jaeyoon but... jaeyoon didn’t like him at all at first. while he grew out of that dislike, when he was a teenager him and his step-father would get into a lot of arguments, all the time.

the thing is that they started over very small things that jaeyoon made too big of a deal about and culminated in massive fights that had him leaving the house for a few days. whenever he pulled that he was forbidden from going to drama, dance and vocal classes and had to stay home looking after his younger brother.

mom wrote it off as teenage angst but honestly it was pretty critical and the only reason she didn’t realise how much was bc of being busy with work and her younger son.

jaeyoon was about to go to university for acting when his step-father lost his job and entered a pretty bad bout of depression due to not being able to find anything else and being unable to provide for his family. so jaeyoon, with no skills or degree, decided to enlist. the pay for soldiers is like ridiculous but it was more than nothing and he sent most of it to his mom to try to help at home.

the army was.... terrible. worst experience of his fucking life. he was punished often for his issues with authority and all that anger he used to externalise turned inward even more. his self hatred and deprecation started going up from there, and jaeyoon developed a tendency for self harm from there.

when his enlistment was over, his step-father had started working as a stagehand at the theatre, so as much as life wasn’t back to what it was, it was a bit better than the worst of it. which was why seulki pushed jaeyoon into auditioning for gold star, but for the acting division.

jaeyoon did, but when they asked to evaluate all his skills, he got offered a contract as an idol trainee and even tho being an idol wasn’t in his plans, he said fuck it and went.

terrible decision. second worst experience of his life, added even more to his self-hatred, had to shove even more anger down his throat, developed body image issues, and all that jazz.

pretty bummed when hot topick happened and he wasn’t allowed an opportunity bc he was a gold star trainee, started expecting to be asked to leave the company and was pretty much already looking for auditions when he was told he was going to debut.

doesn’t know how to feel about quicksilver yet but he’s excited about finally going on stage, while trying not to think about the inevitable bad mental state he’s going to end up in. 

lux was born in thailand and has a mom, dad and younger brother

moved to korea when they were scouted by dimensions, seeing it as a way to get their music heard

debuted in 7rophy without much fanfare 

is salty af they never get to participate in production or anything for 7rophy’s music, never gets solo opportunities, etc

!!PARENT ILLNESS TW!! in 2020 their younger brother, with whom they have a strained relationship, called and told them their father had had a major stroke leaving him partially paralyzed. their parents had been actively keeping it a secret from them.

seojun’s parents, haseul and hyojong, were high school sweathearts. haseul was born into wealth, while hyojong was born into a lower middle class family. haseul’s parents were against the idea of them dating, but the two of them didn’t really care and continued on with their romance. 

once his father graduated from high school (his mother graduated the year prior), the two of them decided to start a new life in the states, los angeles to be exact. 

his father became a construction worker while his mother became a hairdresser. just a few years after they got settled in the states, they had their first child, a daughter. then along came seojun, the baby. 

he had a decent childhood. his parents made sure that him and his sister had everything they needed, and tried to spoil them as much as their income would allow. 

tragically, his father ended up being seriously injured at a construction site when seojun was eleven years old. he had to be hospitalized for several months and it caused a severe financial strain on the family. against her husband’s wishes, his mother decided to reach out to her parents and asked them to take in seojun and his sister for a while. 

they agreed, and the two lee children flew to seoul to stay with their grandparents. it was there that seojun formed a special bond with his grandmother. his grandmother was a performer in her youth, but had to stop after giving birth and the heath issues that arose afterwards. she became a stay at home mother and was never able to professionally perform again. 

seojun had always had a bug for performing, even when he was a little boy, so it was the perfect opportunity for his grandmother to help him develop his bug for performing into an actual love for it. 

it was with his grandmother’s guidance and encouragement that he began auditioning for companies. he was rejected by the first few he auditioned for, and almost wanted to give up, but his grandmother encouraged him to keep moving forward until eventually, gold star picked him up in january of 2015. 

seojun wasn’t the nicest trainee around. he wasn’t outwardly rude, but some could say that he was standoffish and maybe unapproachable. his mentality at the time was that he was there to work hard and debut, not make friends. he was all about his training and pretty much only interacted with others when it was absolutely necessary. 

he worked hard for five years before being told that he was finally going to debut. unsurprisingly, he was excited as hell and was looking forward to quicksilver’s impending debut date. he wanted to surprise his grandmother with the news after he moved into quicksilver’s dorm, but just the day after, he learned that his grandmother passed away due to failing health. 

he was, and still is, devastated over it. he actually wanted to quit altogether and have his grandfather buy him out of his contract, but then he remembered that his grandmother would have wanted him to debut and carry out the plans they had made together. 

the last thing he wanted to do was disrespect his grandmother or her memory by throwing away everything he had worked for, so he decided to stick it out. now he’s determined to debut and be successful, if not for himself than to at least make his grandmother proud. 

seojun’s a pretty narcissistic person. he knows that he’s an attractive guy, and that he’s talented. he might not be as talented as some people, but he thinks that with his looks it balances out well and makes up for where he lacks. 

has a little bit of an issue with keeping it in his pants. has definitely slept with his fair share of people in the industry (trainees and idols) and has probably homewrecked a few relationships. the last part wasn’t on purpose though lol 

he’s a very straightforward and blunt person. he doesn’t go out of his way to be rude, but there are times where he doesn’t care to word himself in the nicest way, which can make him seem like an asshole. 

loyal almost to a fault.

a steady fwb relationship, someone he’s been sleeping with on and off for a while now. there’s nothing romantic there, it’s just comfortable and familiar for them, so whenever they’re both single, they meet up a few times a month. 

someone he bumps heads with a lot, could be someone who was a trainee around the same time that he was (jan of 2015 to present day) or not, it doesn’t matter. we can work something out! 

his first official relationship (sometime around 2013-2015, doesn’t have to have lasted that long, other muse has to be between a ‘96 to ‘98 liner), could have ended on good or bad terms

toxic exes. their relationship wasn’t the best, and they really can’t stand each other but they still hookup from time to time. 

someone seojun goes to for help bettering his vocals. he knows he’s not the best singer and that his singing could use some work. 

biography

— born and raised in detroit with her three sisters. she is the younger sister of chroma’s biyu. her parents moved to detroit to care for her aging grandma.

— her fathers favorite child. had a close relationship with everyone besides biyu. has always struggled with this fact.

— started dancing when she was in middle school. joined a dance studio where she met vincent.

— in school she was the popular girl. people loved her contagious smile and confidence.

— also has brains. top of her class. straight a’s. squeaky clean record.

— started dating vincent a year after meeting him. her literal soulmate. they would have spent every waking moment together if they could have. but they were still teens and had school.

— biyu left for seoul in 2013 and she had a hard time saying goodbye. felt betrayed in a lot of ways.

— when she was 16 she was in a car accident that took the life of her boyfriend and the driver of the other vehicle. spiraled into a deep depression only made worse by her guilt.

— auditioned for gold star in 2016. left for seoul the same year.

— was told of her debut in may. neutral about it. never really thought she’d be given the opportunity to debut.

personality
