Episode 5: Jewish mothers. In particular, ours! On today's episode, our special guest is Dikla's mom, Roberta, who called in to the show from Long Beach, California. The Shickers talk about their mothers, relating to their moms and parents both Jewishly and generationally. No fakaktail today, as Dikla had a bad night drinking (read: we recorded the day after Cinco de Mayo) and Tori is still super preggers. But, we did enjoy delicious limeade and strawberry slushies.

Honey, for drizzling

Brown sugar, for sprinkling

Amaretto

Hard apple cider

Whiskey

Almonds, for garnish (optional)

Drizzle honey into a glass (we opted for a martini glass for presentation). Sprinkle a pinch of brown sugar over the honey. Pour in equal parts amaretto and cider (we used Finn River sparkling green apple cider). Add a half shot of whiskey (preferably honey whiskey or bourbon). Garnish with almond slivers.
