#fade rambles

I sent this update for the VAs on Discord, and I thought it might be worth sharing here, too, just in case. Specifically cus of 3 points:

1 - While I will consistently be doing reblogs on the Watcher DLC room polls, there will be no impact on the voice-acted response posts whatsoever. All of that stuff is gonna keep going, exactly as it has been, since the whole shadowban mess happened. So if you followed me specifically for the askblog posts, then don't worry, they'll keep on coming.

2 - But there will likely be a whole bunch of Watcher spoilers in there. The basegame + DP polls featured literally every single room in the game, including the Void Sea in Depths, the Scavenger Chieftain throne room, the puppet chambers of Five Pebbles and Looks to the Moon (all the versions we see throughout the different campaigns, too), etc. I'm assuming the same principle will apply this time, too.

So if you don't want to potentially get spoiled on key Watcher story moments, then make sure to block the tag (I'll add 'Watcher spoilers' too, just in case).

I've pretty much abandoned this account in the last couple days, partially because I just didn't have anything to share, but also because I'm not really enjoying being here (don't get me wrong, there's still a ton of great upsides to it... they just don't outweigh the bad, at least not anymore). There are always a ton of things that feel way more appealing than opening up my Tumblr, so I've been doing it less and less... and it didn't seem like anyone really cared, which was probably for the better.

Though I don't really want this to be a rant on this site, cus truthfully, it wasn't really its fault.

As I'm occupied with managing that one voice-avting askblog, having to semi-frequently communicate and work with all hose participants, while also doing some fun things for myself, such as: doodling (mostly low effort stuff that isn't worth sharing... and it's strangely more fun than high effort things that take hours, even if I don't improve much from them), playing through newer WC3 mods that I haven't gotten the chance to try yet, and attempting to recreate Chess in GameMaker, so that I could add in some of my personal ideas to it.

So yeah.... not exactly the kind of things I could post about on Tumblr.

And I'm aware that art month is going on, but somehow, I just didn't get the motivation to do anything with it. Which was due to a combination of... a lot of things (time being occupied by the stuff I just talked about, my preference to draw in solitude screwing me over thanks to being stuck at home with family, the way I loathe most of the things I made for the previous art months, the generally unrewarding feeling of posting art online, and so on).

Point being - I don't know if I'm really ever gonna do anything with this account, outside of rambling underneath RW related polls.

Maybe once Artfight comes around, or when the protests finally end, and I'll get to return to my college apartment, where I'll be alone very often - resulting in me wanting social media a bit more.

The TLDR is that there's a bit of a messy situation in my home, so my college will be taking part in a protest, my finals weeks have come to an abrupt halt, and I'm gonna have a couple weeks where I'll be stuck home, with not much to do.

Thankfully, this'll at least give me time to be a whole lot more active, so if you wanna hit me up with something/anything (ideas, requests, funny or interesting stuff you've found, questions, things you wanna discuss, heck even venting), then go ahead! I'll be free.

....I can't recall watching any cooking, chicken or cheese related content.... but something about this one just gets to me xd

It's pretty hilarious to look at this, considering how it's a mere fraction of what I was originally planning.

I wanna finish this up tomorrow, so I'll almost definitely be cutting corners, and just writing up simple descriptions for the remaining empty rooms, with a few simple extra additions here and there (like music, or food). Honestly, I'll only have 5-10 minutes to present my work anyway, and the others have made games that are quite a bit simpler (not overly so, but still).

Sucks that I couldn't give this project the depth and nuance it deserved, but hey, what matters the most are the points, and I've already set up the stuff the prof would care about the most :>

But in spite of this mildly stressful situation, I actually find this whole thing rather neat. It reminds me of the time when I was 10-12, and tried adapting Plants VS Zombies into a turn based 1v1 game, that we could play on paper, or on drawing programs.

These sorts of endeavours offer a ton of fun and unique challenges, and I'd honestly love to put a few minutes into this every day, slowly expanding this version of RW.

Things have been relatively fine, as I've mostly just been chilling at my parents' home (with the occasional visiting of relatives here and there). Which is actually great, as I had to spend the previous weeks being sick and alone in my apartment, while attending courses and doing a bunch of schoolwork so it feels nice to have finally recovered, while also getting to be taken a breather with the people I love! ^-^

(Oh, and don't worry, I wasn't being miserable in the previous weeks or anything. I still had fun playing games and doing the whole voice acting blog, like usual. I'm just happy to have something different now)

In terms of Christmas stuff, we actually had snow! In freaking Serbia!

Well... for a day.

But it was on Christmas day, so it still counts as the first Christmas in like, 10 years, where we actually had snow!

And the tree is real nice. It sorta leans a little too hard towards a direction, but eh, if you view it from the proper angle, it's perfect!

So yeah, it's been pretty awesome!

Sure, I still have a couple projects I'm somewhat slacking on, but I still have plenty of time for those. It'll be just fiiiiinneeeeee (which I'm saying as my anxiety is slowly but surely going berserk xd).

Not sure what else I could add here, outside of the community really selling me on Christmas Tree Saint, as I was looking around on the different corners of the community :3

But yeah, this is pretty much the gist of it.

I can only imagine the emotional rollercoaster that Jayce X Viktor fans are going through right now.

To have your ship pretty much confirmed (like, c'mon, he literally used the word 'affection' - how much more blunt could it possibly get?), right after Jayce saved Viktor's life, only for the two characters to part ways for good...... outch.

But hey, at least the Glorious Evolution can finally begin! And they did separate in waaaaaaayyyy better terms than they did in the original lore, so there's that.

It was just too goddamn loud, and the strength of the noise remover had to be so high, that it damaged the recording as a result.

I could speak louder, and tinker around in Audacity, to make everything sound fine on my first two answers. (And I've already uploaded both by now)

However, with the third one (which I didn't upload yet, and no, I won't be spoiling what's in there).... I just couldn't. No matter what I did, there was either a noticeable background noise, or I sounded horrendous.... or both xd.

So I sort of gave up, and gave myself a couple days break, as I tried to figure out what to do.

Then I got curious, and tried to trace the noise, and......

.... apparently, my extension cord decided to start sizzling like mad. Which was getting progressively worse over time.

So, uhh...... yeah, I think I'll be replacing that. (Dw, it's currently plugged out, and it ain't getting plugged back in again)

And what da ya know, my hobby project prevented me from potentially setting my apartment on fire.

I suppose now, I can say that voice acting has literally saved my life.
