There was another actor, idk you might know him, called Nathan Fillion ;) First he’s asking this HUGE amount for a simple signature on a picture... like twice the amount the 5 other actors and actresses were asking (including Amanda, Morena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie). But fine, whatever, my wife decides she wants the autograph on her Serenity special edition BR bc she’s a fan. She was dressed as buffy btw. 

For the 30 seconds we were with him, he barely made eyes contact, couldn’t care less about what we were saying, shook hands and voilà. Now, I know they don’t owe us anything. But I’ve never felt more like a number than for those 30 seconds...

Then we go to Morena. Lovely lady! Very tired, it was written all over her face and yet she found the strength to get up and help another fan to get a ticket for a sold out photoshoot. Absolutely adorable and taking the time to make proper eye contact and exchange a real word and hand shake. We were human again.

Later that same day, Amanda Tapping. Finally we made it! My wife has this tattoo heavily inspired by Sanctuary involving the death of one of her loved ones and it mattered a LOT to her to tell that story (even heavily shortened) to Amanda. There was a line, Long line. And she could have just waved us off. But let me tell you: this amazing woman took the time to listen to my wife, REALLY listen, you could see that the story touched her. She wanted to see the tatoo but ti’s not exactly at a place you can show in public. But she listen, and presented her condoleances for my wife’s loss. After that, I got to show off my engagement ring which is a stargate and she recognized it right away (which for the story I didn’t;.. funny story, not the point). I have never EVER felt more human and listened to by a celebrity. And I got to hug Norman Reedus (which was awesome btw). My wife shook for a while after this. We were both incredibly happy. And still can’t believe that we met Amanda “Sam Carter” Tapping.

It is really sad that she doesn’t do more convention. But you people need to know, and you can take my word for it, she is a truly beautiful soul, a gorgeous woman and an incredible human.
