Okay been thinking of another Rhaenys X Corlys au
the idea was kinda like little mermaid but
After one of his longer voyages, Lord Corlys Velaryon Of Driftmark comes home and ends up meeting the “Sea Witch Of The Depths” Rhaenys!
turns out on his latest venture he’s taken something of hers, a beautiful opal like pendant that radiates a very warm feeling from it.
she asks for him to give it back, only for Corlys to deny her, interested to see where this goes and if he can potentially ensnare the rumoured queen of the depths
Rhaenys basically says “I’ll stay on land till I get back what is rightfully mine” and that she does for days and nights the two of them have this battle of wits and stubbornness.
Rhaenys finds out more about the culture on land and vice versa for Corlys on the culture of the deep.
He finds out she’s split from her family and travelled to the depths. She finds out about his sons, and that he’s a widower.
After a month of back and forth one day Rhaenys is on the beach, holding her abdomen which is seeping with a black blood. Her fingertips are slowly turning black as well. She begs him to give the amulet back or she’ll die.
Corlys agrees but begs her to return to him and driftmark again, so he can properly court her. Rhaenys doesn’t reply, she’s never really experienced love as strong as her parents before and know wether to except or not.
So she and her entourage disappear from Driftmark for months and months leaving Corlys a heartbroken mess and in the depths Rhaenys is having her sad times as she watches her first cousin once removed fall in love with her childhood friend Alicent
So Corlys holds a ball masque in hopes he’ll meet the sea witch of the depths once more and confess his love to her
Rhaenys hears of the news from Rhaenyra and she begs her to let her go not knowing of the history between lord and witch
And their story continues from there? I haven’t thought too far ahead yet just the basic plot and a few other tidbits.
Oh Rhaenys’s seafolk form is an octopus or potentially a seal!
