So I have finished reading Careless people by Sarah Wynn-Williams

I see alot of the same corporate unethical mindset as any other powerful entity. If there is no restraints or team of people to hold to account, there is no avenue these scumbags wont take to get ahead, or have personal gain for the self.

A few things stood out for me

The authors self imposed nievety to change from within the belly of the beast. This lead to her stubbornly trying to make one last ditch attempt to strike gold, before exiting. But they git rid of her instead

Her serious post partum health issues. They treated her like a tool to be utilzed while experiencing bad health that hospitalized her. Yet she still carried on, ignoring the redflags, that to me is either socialpathically stupid, or she was that highly ambitious to the point of her own self importance.

Sexual harrassment by a senior top employee that kisses Mark Zuckerbergs arse,she still carried on working there, dispite trying to raise her concerns with the HR dept, and getting brushed off. The fear of how to get another job, dealing with supporting two very young children on top of health insurance and medical bills for an ongoing post partum condition, stalled her exit. Again if anyone was in danger of being seriously SAd that would scare them off returning to work surely? What if the guy r*ped her?

The refusal to remove posts off facebook that instigated the Burmese outbreak of violence against women,children and men by the government there, dispite her efforts to get them removed. The result was because of the inaction. But they had the nerve to get concerns from us brits posted on there regarding our governments inaction over migrant criminals reported or removed. Why didn't that push her to whistleblow?

The inhumanity of Mark Zuckerberg,and his close team mates. She mentioned an employee having a grand seizure and everyone ignoring her. She called 911 and they insisted on knowing her name,history of any seizures before taking any action,and getting nowhere from her collegues who, along with her manager had no clue and passed the buck onto another dept. She did not inform whether the employee was taken in, got help, or had to be driven over to the ER. That sort of frustrated me, at least when you mention things like that, give an outcome. Plus as part of my job role, working with elderly, I have called paramedics, they do not refuse to take in anyone just because they may not have a name, her personal items like her purse would have her name on it. Or driving license, give me a break!

Her inability to know when to walk away from a situation that is untenable. Maybe it is down to the fear of how to survive financially, and not wanting to give up. These corporations know how to keep their employers in a trap. Or it is her selfish ambition that played a role in this, she only had her exit due to the SH report towards her boss under Mark

The power of wanting to make a difference being manipulated by the employer. Also the self manipulation can blind you too. She was seduced by the idealology she carried and that played a part in her own role in the shitfest.

I could go on, but the snake finally bit after a sexual harrassment issue that spiralled further than she wanted, discarded like trash for daring to speak out, the culprit protected. Her own husband thought at one point she had stokholm syndrome.

This horrible entity known as facebook really does not care if a post violated community standards, I have reported the offending posts and they got no serious comeback. Even when I tried to report a fake John Reardon account the form required me to link the real account, but I could not because he has no account. Si scamners can have free reign doing their carnage and facebook does nothing.

They at Facebook have about the same morals or lackthereof to be more accurate as any polititian, production company, corporations etc. They shit on anyone deemed beneath them, anyone that is below their high status of importance, is just there to advance them and them alone.

I just wish there was an exposè like this regarding Shaftsbury. I see alot of similarities, an employee is sick, force them to perform if possible, if not give them a poor performance review, or fire them. A sick employee is to them an inconvenience. No waiting for a clean bill of health, regardless of how serious the illness is. No legal comeback as loopholes are used to maximum effect, NDAs are literally gagging orders, and even if something criminal happends,NDAs prevent that from being reported. Facebook even did nothing when an employee was jailed for a load of incriminating Wattsapp messages not being turned over to law enforcement in a foreign country, when Watts app was not to do with facebook at the time. He had to get his own legal team after facebooks own deserted him.

Well, I have MORE reasons to hate Facebook. I haven't been on it in YEARS because they kept messing with me. But now I make a new account with a new email address and they say that MY NEW ACCOUNT WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN USED AT ALL has violated community guidelines. How can that be? They even say I applied TOMORROW not today
