I probably won’t ever re-write my Fable 4 fic but if I do I will MAJORLY revise how Reaver and my OC Vyra got together.
Back when I wrote that fic in 2013 and then re-did it again in 2018 and published it I genuinely cringe at how I made their relationship healthy and how Vyra “changed” him.
Now that I am older I wish I hadn’t adapted the novels into my fic 100%. Because I made it to where Reaver was essentially keeping the family under house arrest and it is REALLY WEIRD looking back at it and how he got with Vyra. Who is my Hero of Brighwall’s granddaughter.
If I do revise it I will probably make Reaver close to how he was in Fable 2 and have a thing where he just slowly spirals and ends up wanting to die. Maybe he gets a soul sickness and is slowly wasting away and wants to go out on his own terms…
At least with that him and Vyra being together won’t be so weird. Plus Dorian (their son) won’t be as discriminated against.
