Pre-gaming with the other girls from the softball team had ensured Laurenâs buzz was firmly in place by the time sheâd arrived. It was typically the only way she could tolerate these kinds of parties, where the music boomed and people were everywhere. Sheâd already had enough dudes âaccidentallyâ press up against her while sheâd attempted to squeeze her way from the alcohol and back to the dance floor and since she figured physically separating some jackass from his wrist would no doubt be a mood killer, fresh air was the next best thing.
Cup still in hand, she wandered to the patio out back, the cool air a welcome change from the hot chaos inside. She pulled out her phone and opened up the camera, to snap some selfies because she looked fly and figured the moment needed to be remembered. Her gaze drifted and she smiled at the familiar figured emerging through the back door and out onto the patio. âHiya. Get in here, weâre taking cute pics.â
