Hmph. Beat stands there in the darkness, arms crossed as he waits for Joshua to finally show his face. The silent stretches on as Beat stares into the empty maw that leads to the Trail of the Sinner. As the seconds tick by, Beat reaches up to check his phone.

“Aren’t we needy today?”

Beat's head snaps upward and he glares up at the Composer, set on edge by that strange presence Joshua always carries with him. His eyes settle on Joshua's purple eyes unflinchingly, not allowing himself to be intimidated by him. He shoves his phone back into his pocket.

When Joshua starts talking about how he doesn't owe Beat, he snorts. "Yeah, you do owe me."

Neku might have let Joshua back into his life, but Beat still has his reservations.

Beat takes a step back when Joshua hops the railing and begins to float down. "I'ma need you to tell me what the hell is going on in Nakano. I went in there and it was weird, man. Like, the sky got all dark and shit and it was freaky."

“I truly did want to give you the world, Sir.” The Conductor was the arbitor of the Composer’s will, the idea that he had not seen Joshua’s loneliness was completely absurd. Oh, he’d tried to hide it, but there was only so much one could hide from the one person who he was able to freely speak to. Megumi hadn’t spoken on it, because he felt it was not his place.

But... he knew. And he knew that the people of the world had disappointed Joshua one too many times for Joshua to be satisfied with them.

He wanted to make them good for his Composer. 

Only now that the world was calm again did he see how absurd his plan was. And he was probably going to hear it from the Composer as well. Which is why he’s just a little bit more pleased than he should be when he speaks again.

dorian speaks with his tone deep in his chest. it's confident and cool; with clear enunciation on top of Greek dialect. he has an accent but it's not too impossible for him when speaking other languages. he primarily speaks greek, but when speaking Japanese and English, there are vowels that make it clear he's foreign.
