"You definitely shouldn't do that. Don't ever do that. I wouldn't let you just wake up in the UG one day, if I could help it." Joshua closes his eyes, tapping his fingers against the cup now. Neku doesn't know it, but Joshua is scanning him now, and that's when it hits him. There's a regression, but there's an abnormality in Neku's Soul that he didn't catch before, and not only that... but he's not even where he's supposed to be.

He quickly opens his eyes again to look at him, his lips parted slightly in surprise. Did he mess up somehow when he rewrote things?

Neku blinks in surprise "Is something wron-oh why am I even asking!" he shakes his head, its Joshua, he's not getting anything out of him until he does what he wants

"Um, I'm usually zoning out when it happens? Thinking about the game or Shinjuku or...you know that kind of stuff. Then I'll see a Noise, sometimes they jump at me as soon as I spot them and sometimes it takes them a minute to spot me. Either way they jump at me, I brace myself, and suddenly there gone"

He taps his fingers against the table as he takes a moment to think. Was there anything else when it happened? He'd been trying to write them off as hallucinations so he hadn't been examining them but the way Joshua is reacting is telling him there's more to what's happening

Joshua perks up when Neku takes a seat in front of him, having not paid much attention to his surroundings himself to reliably notice Neku entering the shop. His lips part, ready to offer a greeting, but then all of the sudden Neku starts pouring out everything that's on his mind.

Joshua doesn't stop him, what he's saying isn't something that should be ignored nor interrupted. He doesn't like the sound of it.

For a brief moment total terror overtakes him when Joshua says he doesn't think its possible for him to be normal, but the rest of the sentence brings him back down to the nervous energy he'd had when he entered

He laughs, and its a broken sound, the sound of a boy who'd start screaming if he wasn't laughing "I feel like I'm losing my mind! I swear I keep seeing Noise, but then I blink and there gone! Its scaring the shit out of me! I keep waking up convinced there'll be a timer on my hand or I'm back in Shinjuku! But...what really freaks me out..."

"Of course, dear, I'll tell him. But you're not going to die, I won't let you." He rolls his eyes, sighing softly. "You want me to piggyback you? So you aren't alone?"

"Yes please, don't leave me!" maybe if he hides up there the iceberg he's decided this house is can't reach him

He sighs, shaking his head a bit. "Babe, I don't hate you. And the ice will be so small it won't be enough to make you freeze, I promise." He kisses his head, rubbing his back softly.

For a long while Rindo doesn't say anything, debating in his head if freezing to death is a possibility he's willing to risk to not get worse...

"Shh..." He sighs softly, shaking his head a bit. He knows how bad he feels, hell he had the same thing last week. But still... "You need to stay hydrated.."

"Noooooooo!" he twists so he can hide his face in Kou's hoodie, any damns he might have given about sounding like a child died a painful death the moment he threw up

"Ice is COLD! I'll freeze and DIE!" as if to prove his point, he immediately starts shivering and clutches onto Kou like he's the only source of heat left in the world
