Demian does not have any siblings, most beans from Mira don't really do families (I could go into detail about cultural differences in my comic's world but that would turn into a super long explanation. I might do an infodump on that eventually though)

And you'd be right about him being fairly lonely during his childhood! Small beans are raised by a special collective in HQ, it's pretty much like those schools where kids also sleep and eat for 5 out of the 7 days of the week, except there's no other home for them to return to in the weekends (in most cases) so they just live there until they're old enough to pick a career and eventually a job.

Demian didn't find playing with other beans very appealing, or they'd tell him he was doing things wrong when he tried to join them, so instead he'd spend more time on his own, drawing or reading and the like. That's probably why he's so socially awkward in the present

As for other beans with siblings, we know Laegan was Cram's brother, and I like to think of Fynn (the scientist from Polus) as Mikko's cousin, but idk if that's canon yet lol. Mikko has an aunt also, so at least we know one of his parents had siblings.

Pretty much xD, his actions do feel very random from an outsider's point of view, but he's got his reasons. After all, remember that his excessive dosage of the gene allows him to keep a goal in mind and work on achieving it in the most efficient way without getting sidetracked and with little to no mistakes. He's still a bean though, so he is bound to slip eventually.

Back then I made a post where I talked about the origin of the main character of #StrikeAChord. It's cringey, but this is a story. Special post for those, who likes Max/Zeta (Zex or Meta — still can't decide).

Here’s what that post said:

The main character of my story is Max, a grey cat guitarist. By the time of the main events he’s already an adult, but here we’ll talk about his younger self, the way he’s drawn in this piece. He spent his whole childhood living and studying in a small town called Rabbit-Hole. When he grew up, he decided to devote his life to music and applied to a music college in Birdsong. Birdsong is not only the nearest big city, it’s also a “city of musicians”: famous performers grew up there, popular bands were founded there, and it’s well known for its conservatories, music schools, and so on. Max’s move marked the start of his musical career, even though he never actually got in. One more fact: big‑city life had a huge impact on Max. It slowly killed his natural ambition, leaving him gloomy and depressed.

I decided to dig deeper into his past, and that’s how these four mini‑comics (strips) about the cohabitation of Max the cat and Zeta the deer were born.
