Sans watched silently as Papyrus talked to the blind skeleton floating in the tank before glancing back down at the data on the tablet. HP: <unknown> Attack: <unknown> Defense: <unknown> Subject 0-Gâs information fluctuated too much to get an accurate reading. Sans sighed, he knew 0-G wasnât going to last long outside of the tank, and leaving him in there felt wrong. âPapyrus.â He finally spoke, âCome with me.â The tall skeleton looked at him, then back at 0-G, âIâll be right back, I promise!â âO-K-A-Yâ 0-G tapped out on the glass. Papyrus smiled and then followed Sans into the other room, âWhat is it, brother?â âPapâŚI donât think 0-G can survive outside the tank.â Sans said frankly yet delicately, âHis HP keeps changingâŚitâs unpredictableâŚIâm afraid if we take him out, he might get hurtâŚor die.â Papyrusâ smile fell a little, âOhâŚW-well, maybe heâll stabilize once heâs outside of the tank!â âThe clones I made didnât even make it out of the tank, PapyrusâŚIâm certain heâs not too far behind them.â âClones? I thought those samples you took from his hands were to correct his instability.â âThey were at first, butâŚthat proved unsuccessfulâŚâ Sans put his hand on his brotherâs shoulder, âItâs only a matter of time, PapâŚwe should think abo-â âSans, donât you dare finish that sentence! Iâm not going to give up on him! Heâs made it this far, what makes you think he canât pull through?â âBecause the data doesnât support it.â âTo heck with your data!â âPapyrus, donât yell at me.â Sans said seriously, âIâm upset too, but would you rather let him live his life in that tank for all eternity? If we ever got out of the underground, we couldnât take him with us.â âSans, you havenât even given him a chance to live outside the tank!â âPapyrus, please, I donât want hi-â The argument was interrupted by a loud explosion sound coming from the room with the tank. The brothers looked at each other, then hurried back into the room. The tank was shattered, bits of glass and metal littering the soaked floor. Sitting hunched over where the tank once stood was Subject 0-G. He looked toward them, a hint of purple light shining under the bone on his skull. He reached out for them, wobbling slightly as the light died down. Papyrus rushed over and caught him as Sans looked at the damage. âAlrightâŚâ Sans closed his eyes, turning off the tablet, âHeâs earned his chanceâŚâ
