Ngl Iām still half-expecting some emotional gut punch episode about Rose and Amethyst bc sheās had one with Pearl and Garnet both and Amethystās relationship with Rose has always been hinted at as deeper than Amethyst lets on- in the comics she mentions that RoseĀ ātold her storiesā and the story in particular related back to a corruption, and in Whatās Your Problem she calls her issues with Rose a āthousand year old complex.ā
And donāt get me wrong. I know Rose was basically Amethystās mom. I know most (if not all) of it draws back to that. But I wouldnāt be shocked if Amethyst had some secret thing with Rose that she just doesnāt talk about on top of that.

There are rumors about what Agent Sternās room must look like by now. Everyone in the lodge has a theory, and none of them are especially kind. Itās a going joke, to guess what the constantly-locked door looks like on the other side; there are predictions about piles of clothes, take-out containers, and a mess of outdated ghost-hunting equipment. Dani says she doesnāt know where heās getting clean things to wear, since she never sees him doing laundry. Barclay confides that Sternās never requested that the room be cleaned. Aubrey suspects that heās keeping as many secrets in there as the entire lodge is keeping from him.
Agent Sternās room looks like someone lives there. The clothes are neatly folded in the drawers or hanging in the closet. The mini fridge is stocked with as many groceries as will fit, the toiletries are lined up on the bathroom counter, and the desk is equipped with a laptop and a full folder stand. Itās clean, carefully cared for. There are pictures on the bed stand, beside the alarm clock. Thereās no suitcase. It looks like a place where someone has settled in to live.
If someone were to investigate - if someone found a way in, browsed the files, checked the email on the computer that was always on - they might notice the dates are a little... old. They might think it was funny that someone on location for work hasnāt seen an email from work for months, that days of meticulous records cut off abruptly. It doesnāt look like the room of someone expecting to leave, of someone suspiciously watching the people around him; it looks like the room of someone taking a cautious step towards permanence.
