13. Introduce your current party.

So, my other current party:

Tara Yokel/Namira (me) - An adorable 16 year old farm girl made of sunshine and rainbows who has middle child syndrome and is very unhappy with her own identity and constantly striving to be Edgy and Cool, or else disguising herself as various people (including ghosts, weirdly often).

Chris Tian Siddehug - A sorcerer who got kicked out of Divination school for being high all the time, and continues to be high all the time. He’s ¼ orc and we’ve just arrived at the orc country and discovered his pirate mum was noble caste here so that’s fun.

Roak Vandine - Dwarven cleric who used to be a bounty hunter and has a whole long backstory I really should get around to reading one day. De facto group leader by virtue of being the only one who’s actually competent and sensible at least most of the time.

Jolas Spookdog - Drow sorcerer who outlives most people he knows so doesn’t like forming meaningful connections with them, but also constantly adopts people/things as his Human Sons. Has an actual human son who wishes he was a less shitty dad.

6. Favorite death (monster, player character, NPC, etc).

I’ve realised there are remarkably few deaths in the Dragon Age campaign actually? We do in fact manage to handle a lot of things diplomatically, and there are very few straight up fights.

So my favourite death is in Namira’s campaign, and while it wasn’t actually permanent, it was Emotional. We got into a fight with two newly turned vampires, killed one and interrogated the other. Namira started the fight talking about how cool being a vampire would be, because she is Edgy, and then over the course of the interrogation started really caring about this girl Kay who’d been turned into a vampire and forced to serve an evil demon lord against her will, and did her best to comfort her. The rest of the party didn’t feel they could just let a vampire walk free, and Kay didn’t Want to be a vampire, and the only way to cure vampirism is to kill one and resurrect them later. Namira hugged Kay while Roak staked her, promising they’d resurrect her as soon as they could.

Det finns både bra och dåligt... just den öppenheten som så många konventare verkar bli nedsmittade av (att vara “random”, free hugs etc) är något jag kanske har större behållning av nu när jag är liiite bättre på sociala situationer. Trots att det är tröttsamt är det också ganska kul med så många människor som bara samlas för att ha roligt och dela sina passioner?
