Oh excellent! (This in response to the ask meme here)
Okay so this is a gift fic that hasn't been posted yet; I really like outsider POVs and when I was thinking about what I could write I thought that a Shen Tang POV on bingqiu would be very fun.
Note that I don't like pretty much most of the extras; I like Shen Tang and I like to borrow Bingzu to explore and think about because a third Binghe and more angst fodder is delightful, but I think most of the rest of the extras (honestly, including Bingzu) are very fanon/non-canon to me. So I cherry picked for this fic and came up with something I thought would be a fun way to have SY's sister view Bingqiu.
What Shen Tang also notices is the way that her brother stares at Luo Binghe as well. He stares in a more blatant way than he ever would have in the past, partially as if he can’t stop looking at Luo Binghe, as if his presence is a balm to some malady that Shen Tang didn’t know existed, and partially as if he’s simply appreciating the view.
Luo Binghe preens obviously with every glance.
Shen Yuan sits next to Luo Binghe on the couch and Shen Tang watches in utter amusement as Shen Yuan can’t stop touching Luo Binghe. It’s not obvious—it’s a quick pat to his knee when he gets up to get Luo Binghe a drink, or a brush of fingers as he passes the glass over, or even a little playful tug to the ponytail that Luo Binghe has his hair in—complete with a hair band that Shen Tang definitely recognizes as Shen Yuan’s. Shen Yuan doesn’t stop talking with Shen Tang, and Luo Binghe listens more than he speaks, but the entire atmosphere is. Well.
Look, Shen Tang doesn’t think she’s imagining things. And Shen Yuan is more alive than he’s been since he woke up from that coma.

Mmm this is hard. In the ff7 fandom specifically I feel most characters aren't too terribly blorbified, although it really depends on whoever is like writing them and stuff you know? Like you can go from one person who interprets Cloud in the most absurd fanon nonsense way and then the next person has the pitch perfect characterization. I feel with Cloud I've seen many people depict him in ways I don't like but he's also the protagonist and one of the most popular character so it's just a matter of statistics

Barret. Yes I know I'm not exactly the one who should be preaching around here since I have like two Barret-centric fics and one of them isn't even published because I can't work out some issues with it. But like just because I'm personally biased towards evil twunks doesn't mean everyone else in the fandom is you know? Barret is a perfectly good character and we should all focus more on him

I can't imagine anyone making a podfic of any of my stories! What a thought. I suppose if I had to pick, I think The Garden Under Snow is my best fic, but Nothing Gold is a strong contender just because of how popular it is (and I'm pretty proud of that one too). Maybe Alone Among the Wreck? I'm pretty happy with (most of) that one too.
Hi @evil-robot-cat! I saw the notification and took a little (really crappy video of the last journal I finished. I'm waiting for the glue to dry on two more. As you can see my headband needs some work and the bottom of my pages peep out from the cover. I'm still working on getting a guillotine so I can have flush edges. You never have to walk out of a thrift store empty-handed if you have a working VCR. I haven't payed more than fifty cents for a tape in years. Sure, you won't find last summer's hit movie on tape, but they made some great stuff back in the day. And with the price, it's easier to take a chance on a show you wouldn't rescue from a five dollar dvd bin at Wal Mart.
I used to do this, but I ran out of space in this house. Tapes take over every shelf after a while.
