Women aren't ever allowed to make mistakes . It's insane
#xmen 97#rogue 'broke up' with remy because she believed she wasn't good enough for him#because magneto pretty much Groomed Her#(She was 20#he was 60)#to believe touch was important for a relationship#hell she hasn't touched anyone since she was 19/20 and she's well into her 30's now#so she 'broke up' with remy#(they were never actually official)#to be with magneto#FOR ONE DANCE#and then she immediately regretted that decision#and wanted to let Remy know#but unfortunately he died before he could#now a lot of people refer to her as a 'cheater'#or say she “never deserved Gambit”#or that she was “making herself out to be a victim”#and just generally shitty things about her#when (and I love Remy) in the original xmen show Weng On Dates With Other Women#but no one cares about that#because they believe she (a woman) needs to revolve around HIS wants and needs#that she's not allowed to make mistakes and grow#to quote Kurt from the same fucking episode#“There is no love without Sin. Love is measured best in what we forgive”#but this kind of thing is so common with everything#every show#every movie#every book#because that's what people think in real life#they believe women aren't allowed to make mistakes and condemn women when they do
