Earl and his wife Judith have two beautiful daughters names, Claire (25) and Erin (28). Erin has a son named Luke who is 4 and loves his grandpa Earl very much. Claire is a lawyer in Denver and her wife is an artist. Earl met Judith at a roller rink that he record spun at in his 20â˛s while he tried to figure out what he was doing in college. She was one of those that knew all the fancy tricks that made Earl keep an eye on her, wondering how she just glided across the rink like she was on a cloud. Judith would always come up and request the same song over and over, Gloria by Laura Branigan. If it wasnât Gloria, Judith was a big fan of Lionel Richie. Earl worked the night shift a lot and sometimes heâd keep the rink open a little longer just to let her skate a bit more. Judith was a waitress earning money to try and get out of Montana and move to New York to pursue her dream of dancing in the theater. Earl had laughed the first time she told him this, saying sheâd seen too many musicals. However, he didnât complain when he took her to every musical that came to town. Heâs seen Singing in the Rain more times than he can count. Judy, or Judy Cutie as Earl affectionately calls her, tried teaching Earl a few moves on the rink but for the most part he was pretty clumsy. Bruising a few tail bones and knees in the process. However, he learned enough to propose to her as they skated together one night as If I Could Turn Back Time by Cher played in the smokey roller rink. She said yes. When Earl picked up the badge when he turned 26 he had told Judy that he couldnât support her and their baby on the way with a DJâs pay salary. Afterall, heâd gone to school to become a police officer. Taking up that open Deputy position is the thing that changed his entire life. Judy started headlining the spouses club for the police officers making it easier on spouses who werenât too in tune with how stressful their husbandâs jobs were. After their second child Earl was moving up the ranks pretty quickly and had a great name in the prescient. It would be five more years before he would be transferred up to Missoula to be sheriff there. He takes Judy and the kids to as many artistic things as they want and makes sure to also teach the girls how to handle themselves in the woods and how to handle people. Afterall, their father had never shot a single person before the incident with the cult.Â
