Earlier this month Jewel Staite didn't mention So Weird by name, but took a minute to discuss her guest appearance on the show.
"I think I was 16 - maybe - and I played a siren on the show. As in, a girl who sings and lures men to their death. Did I mention I was 16? The industry was very, very weird back then, man.
Yes, I did all my own singing. They brought me to a studio to record this song that they had written for me. I was terrified because I was a kid and I think we took a couple of hours to record it, and then I had to go on set and lip sync and play this very bizarre-looking instrument.
And I remember all of these background performers - grown men - were supposed to stare at me in love or something. Other than that, lovely time on the show. Lovely time."
