really small unimportant shot, but robin walking through the clouds here has some really smooth animation and this cool sound effect, very splortch-y if you can imagine that.

i think this was also mentioned earlier? a sort of definitive "lost time" sounds really interesting and i can imagine will be very very important later on. love that we're getting more lore and little seeds to grow into something later.

ok i kinda like gedatsu he seems kinda fun and dumb. i will probably be wrong about this as he will inevitably absolutely obliterate someone... probably chopper...

another really cool application of the dials. i love this kinda stuff, when a simple tool is used multiple different ways. this sort of emergent design where multiple groups are using the same stuff in radically different ways is super interesting!!! this kinda stuff is good subtle worldbiulding. chopper's reaction here mirrors my own.

CHOPPER IS SUCH A GOOD BOY I LOVE HIM!!!! 2. him trying to save the goat is so damn sweet! i love that he is a doctor first and foremost. 3. this goat having the liquid inside of him is super gross. 4. i love the face he makes here, very exaggerated and fun.

is gedatsu technically a cyborg? i can't tell if those are simply attached to him or a part of him. regardless, jet punch is cool AF. another really cool use. if this were a video game, jet punch would be both a damaging attack but also a sort of charge move for traversal as well. you can have that one for free, bandai namco. just send me a copy of the game when you make it, k?

glad chopper remembers he has the rumble balls. they're super versatile, and his transformations are super unique and fun!!!!

look at how they massacred my boy... poor chopper.. i feel like that's all i'm saying this arc. my little reindeer human boy needs a win at some point.

him removing the shoe was SO GOOD but he forgot that gedatsu has other dials built in. this punch SUCKS.

YEAH THAT'S MY BOY!!!! NOT SO STRONG WITHOUT YOUR CHEAP-ASS MANTRA, EH MR PRIEST???? glad chopper wins here, because this was hard fought. chopper fighting against those feelings of inadequacy hurt, since he was genuinely just losing a lot. he needed this win!!!! and wrapped up so quickly. no long drawn-out fight, just a good old fashioned booty kickin.

adorable. you were always a pirate to me, chopper. but you did this for yourself, and i'm proud of you.

gedatsu being more of a joke character doesn't make chopper's victory against him any less important.

conis and her dad to the rescue! she is probably the best of the angels for aisa to meet, and likewise aisa is probably the best of the shandians to meet. i hope this brings benefits for both clans!

i like this shot! showing all the characters. and suu immediately loving on aisa is adorable. i don't remember exactly what creature suu is but its clearly cat-adjacent.
