I could see this happening...
sam reposting his tom because obviously
Bro I cannot believe Tom Scott agreed to be on Jet Lag again but ☝️ I am extremely glad regardless.
I said this once but im gonna put it out here: Between the premiere screenshot of Tom and Adam, and the fact that in the preview for s19 they conveniently don't show both team members in one shot together...i think its gonna be team Tomadam (Tadam? Atom?) Vs team Bensam.
They're pitting the anxious cheetahs against their emotional support dogs.,,,,

If you saw the fairly recent Tom Scott video in which he got to operate a trebuchet, you may find the video above interesting. Back in the early 1300s, King Edward laid siege to a castle and ordered the building of a gigantic siege engine to knock down its walls. To see whether such a thing was possible, several decades ago the PBS Nova program recruited teams of builders to attempt to construct trebuchets large enough to fling 250 lb (113 kg) balls a distance of 200 yds (183 meters). And if building such giant trebuchets was possible, they also wanted to see if it would be capable of taking down a castle wall.
re: bellringing episode. Something about watching Tom flail and panic and be out of his depth really does it for me.
in the lie-detecting skeleton video, dan layton jokes "you are looking a bit like you could do with a good dinner" when he's inside the box. it took me reading the comments to realize he was not talking to the skeleton's voice actor. because i think he could also do with a good dinner.
