oh no worries! i just wanted to request some soft polyam stuff with medic, engie, and a gender neutral s/o. if thatâs ok?
I actually had a lot of fun writing this one. I didnât think Iâd enjoy this as much as I did but surprises surprises.
I didnât know if you wanted headcanons or a scenario so I wrote you a cute little scenario!! Enjoy!____
You pouted as you drifted down the hallways of the base. Medic had shooed you out of the infirmary so he could work on some paperwork in peace. No amount of begging or puppy dog eyes could get him to relent so now you simply wandered around like a lost soul with nowhere to go. Is that a little over dramatic, yeah maybe but you didnât care.
So you did the only other thing you knew to do: find someone else to bother. Your feet carried you all the way to the door of Engieâs workshop and you didnât even have to question if he was in there because you heard the sound of a welding machine spitting sparks every so often. Without a second thought you pushed your way through the door. The first of many steps nearly tripped you but you regained your balanced fast enough to not take a tumble down the stairs like a human slinky.
The sparks coming from the welding torch were almost as bright as the hiss was loud. You quickly shielded your eyes with your arm to protect what eyesight you did have- you didnât want to hear that lecture from Medic again-. A sigh of relief left your lips when you heard the click of the torch turning off. You removed your arm when you were convinced that your eyes were no longer in danger. With a lopsided grin on your face you turned toward Engineer, his face nearly unreadable with his goggles but you could see the rest of him perfectly fine. In all honesty he looked pretty worse for ware. His hard hat was lopsided and his jumpsuit looked like theyâd seen much better day and his beat up boots were covered in grease and oil. Long story short, he looked like death warmed over.
âDarlinâ you know I donât like you down here without any gear. Ya could get hurtâ Was the first thing that came out of his mouth and it warmed your heart. He was always worried about everyone else but in turn he didnât worry enough about himself.
âYou look like trash EngieâYou said, not wasting any time
âAlways a charmer with the wordsâHe deadpanned. He raised a hand to scratch at the side of his head. Even in his movements you could tell he was tired, they just sort of dragged.
You crossed your arms over your chest. So weâre gonna play that game, huh? Fine. âHow long has it been since youâve slept?â
âHoney, I havenât the slightest clue what youâre talking aboutâ He was laying the nonchalance on thick âI slept just last night, donât you remember?â
âNo, I donât remember. I donât, because I fell asleep waiting on you to come to bedâYour foot had started tapping impatiently. This man was just as bad as Medic, and you had a feeling youâd end up having to drag the other man to bed as well.
âHeh heh, well ya seeâŠâHe drifted off, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. He knew he was caught and it would be easier on the both of you if heâd just give in.
âCome on, cowboy. Letâs goâ
You grabbed a hold on his wrist and began tugging him towards the door. Now, he could have stayed where was and you not move an inch but luckily he either decided the fight wasnât worth it or he just too tired to resist. Either way you got him up the stairs without much of a struggle. The trip to your bedroom was similarly uneventful.
âGo get changed metalheadâ You gently shoved him the way of the dresser, chuckling at the noise he let out. âNow, youâre not leaving this room until youâre well restedâ With hands planted firmly on your hips Engineer could tell you werenât in the mood for any nonsense. He mock saluted you and with an approving nod from you he was off into bed.
He was out in minutes and that was a testament to his exhaustion. You shook your head before placing a small kiss on his cheek before heading off.
So much for finding entertainment.
Dinner had come and passed with two empty chairs that should have been occupied by Engineer and Medic. You threatened to gut anyone who disturbed Engieâs rest and it was a fifty-fifty chance that the German would even make the trip from the infirmary on a regular day, let alone one where he was absorbed in his papers.
How did you get blessed with two boyfriends with such unhealthy habits? You couldnât answer that for the life of you.
Your footsteps echoed down the hall to the infirmary. The fluorescent lights always gave you this eerie feeling whenever you made the trip alone so you sped up your pace. The double doors came into your line of sight soon enough. You entered without a second thought.
âCome on Medic, you misse-âYou cut yourself off mid-sentence when you saw just what you had expected. The German man was slumped over his desk, which prompted an eye roll.
âI swear, itâs like Iâm babysitting these twoâYou grumbled, softly stomping over to him. You werenât really mad but admittedly it would be nice to go a week without having to carry him to bed. I mean seriously, heâs heavy and like some twist of fate the room was on the other side of base. As always your love for him outweighed your annoyance at his behavior. So you crouched down and with some practiced maneuvering you managed to get him over your back in some twisted form of a firemanâs carry. In no way was it good on your bag but you were too busy trying to push the door open to complain.
You soldiered on through the halls with a strength that even Heavy would be proud of. Finally, there it was! Your beacon of triumph! You nearly wept with joy when that door could be seen. It gave you the will to carry on- which was good since you were sure you were about to drop Medic any second now-.
Once you got inside you kicked the door shut as gently as you could. A glance towards the bed confirmed that Engie was still asleep. On the side of the bed closest to you. Of course. âCause this couldnât have been easy. The trip around around the bed was comparably worse to any kind of training Soldier could ever come up with. Speaking of which, you made a note to definitely freshen up on your weight training skills.
You unceremoniously dumped Medic on the bed with one final burst of strength. You had slain the giant- Well, theoretically of course. All that mattered was that your job was done.
You wasted no time in stripping out of your shirt and pants, throwing them somewhere in the room. You were sure to hear about it in the morning but in your tired state you couldnât be bothered. Which was especially evident when you crawled over Medic instead of the more logical option of crawling up from the clear foot of the bed. Heâd live if he got a knee to the sternum and plus, he owed you.
In a moment your limbs were spread out in the available space you had. You scoffed low in your throat when you felt Medic pulled you by the arm to his chest.
âYouâve been awake the whole time havenât you?âYou mumbled
âOnly for zhe last half of zhe way down hereâ A sleepy smirk played at his lips. âDanke, Schatzâ The anger you felt instantly faded when you looked at him. You couldnât help it. His typically gelled hair fell into those beautiful stormy grey eyes. He was too handsome for his own good.
âYouâre lucky youâre good lookingâ You huffed, tucking your face into his neck.
âWhat about me Sugar?â Engie sleep rough voice was music to your ears and you got chill bumps when he wrapped his arms around you, filling the space against your back âAinât I good lookinâ tooâ
You reached behind you to gently cup your hand behind Engineerâs neck to give him a soft peck. âEven more than Medicâ You snickered at the sharp âhey!â that said man let out.
âOh you know Iâm just teasing. Now go to bedâ
âDonât I get a kiss too liebling?â
âI donât know, I didnât have to carry Engie all the way to bedâYou purse your lips while you pretended to think all the while trying to ignore the playfully pleading look on his face.
âOh fineâ With a roll of your eyes you relented and gave him a kiss as sweet as the one you gave Engineer. When you parted you teasingly poked at his chest. âNow. Bedtime. We gotta get up early to murder peopleâ
âAlways one with words darlinââ
The deadpan tone was almost palpable in your voice.
