Jet doesn’t let anyone hurt his baby sister’s feelings without severe repercussions. Though he usually uses his Semblance to black mail tormenters and scare them off, sometimes a good ass-kicking works wonders.

Jet and Mars have a super comfortable and loving platonic Bromance. They are the best of friends and aren’t afraid to show that they love each other. Often times they end up having drunk cuddles when they get sloshed.

Jet was a super cuddly kid when he was little. Society sort of knocked that out of him and beyond his family, he never really touched people (except kicking or punching). Mars, on the other hand, has always been a snuggle bug.

So...the two of them drinking sort of just end up with them laying on one of their beds at Shade and hardcore nuzzling and cuddling while they sleep off their hangover.

Nothing ever happens romantically between them.

I’m going to pretend like you guys are whats making me do this and not me just wanting to draw these angsty, terrible wonderful beans and their parents together.

As mentioned before, Jet Black is an aspiring cook and if he ends up forgetting something for a dish, he’s likely to spiral into an angry fit of rage. PS: His apron say’s “Stay the FUCK out of my Kitchen”.

Lapis is an interesting little girl who knows she’s better than about 99% of the human race. That 1% is for her Faunus crush. She isn’t better than him…and maybe not her parents. Her Mom is the shit. But seriously, who else would be perfect for Mars? Uh, no one. No one at all.

If you haven’t picked up on Jet being emo deep and brooding and a TOUCH dramatic, then I have failed you.

Mercury and Emerald are so proud of their kids and back them up every chance they get. They may have had horrible childhoods and…well..their lives just all around kind of sucked, but they can at least be loving and supportive to their kids.

A follower was curious about my Jaded kids (Mercury x Emerald) and I’m here to present to you my rwbabies of the two of ‘em.

Jet Mercury Sustrai-Black (Or just ‘Jet Black’)

Nickname: ‘Champ’ by Mercury

Age: 20

Gender: Male/Cis

Siblings: Little sister Lapis Lazuli Sustrai-Black

Orientation: Pansexual (Single)

School/Year/Team: Shade Academy/3rd year/Member of Team MJTA

Aura: Black

Semblance: Reacher, a semblance that allows him to literally reach into the minds of others and read their thoughts and see recent memories. He can only use it on one person at a time, but the semblance itself lasts. Some say that his semblance and seeing what people are really thinking is what drove him to being such a bleak cynic.

Weapon: A pair of boots that are an updated version of his father’s weapon. He refuses to name them, much to the dismay of many of his peers. His response is mainly “They’re just boots, calm down”.

Personality: Sarcastic, Cynical, Loner, Artistic, Romantic, Blunt Honest, Dramatic, Witty, Intelligent

Voice: Josh Ramsay (Mariana’s Trench Lead Singer)

Trivia:

Jet is an aspiring cook and has been in the kitchen since he was seven years of age. The family love his cooking and openly bad mouth cooks who are not Jet when they go out to eat. He also turns the food black (sometimes) with activated charcoal or food dye.

Jet and Mars are best friends and are currently trying to form a band together. Jet plays Guitar, Mars is on keyboard, and both can sing, but they’re looking for their drummer.

They often jam out in Jet’s garage or bedroom, much to Merc and Em’s dismay.

Jet was born deformed, his left leg barely developing past his hip while he was still a fetus. Mercury designed and custom built his son his prosthetic legs since he was small, and has since taught Jet how to maintain and build his own appendage.

His favorite food is Squid Ink Pasta with cherry tomatoes, onions and basil and often times writes out his feelings and creativity in a diary, because “traditional writing and drawing is a lost art”.

Emerald taught him how to pick pocket at a child and it is admittedly a hard habit to break. If…ya know, he was trying to break it.

Jet has been drunk once and it ended with his father finding him shit-faced in his bed. After a long, heated argument and yelling, Mercury reinforced his forbidding of alcohol under his roof. Jet didn’t push to find out why is dad is so against alcohol, but decided it wasn’t worth the trouble just to feel goofy for an hour or five.

He’s 5′11″ and still growing

Lapis Lazuli Sustrai-Black (OR Lapis Sustrai)

Nickname: ‘Laps’ and ‘Blue’ are used by friends, brother and teammates. ‘Precious gem’ by Mercury and ‘Lazulove’ by Emerald.

Semblance: Liar Liar, a semblance which are meant to trick others into believing her lies. Like her brother’s semblance, it lasts a long time and is often used into getting her own way. More than once class has been cancelled because of her.

Trivia:

Lapis knows she’s a beauty and has no problem behaving in such a manor. She isn’t really interested in anyone but a particular monkey boy, so the flaunting is mostly just to tease.

She has a horribly obvious crush on Mars Wukong, finding him very charming and all around sweet. Jet just wishes the two of them would get together and get it over with instead of flirting while he’s in the room.

Feeling at home at Beacon Academy, Lapis really lets loose and becomes a bit of a party girl. Drinking and smoking about every other weekend, she finds that this is the only time she will be able to indulge in vices away from her father.

Xing is viewed as a senpai to her, being just a little bit older than her and also knowing a great deal of Vale’s students because of her parentage. The two girls become good friends and spar mates.

Her favorite food is her brother’s Black Waffles with berry syrup and whipped cream.

Lapis will often mock or roll her eyes behind peoples backs, not unlike her mother, when they say or do something stupid. If found out, she sticks to her guns and doesn’t falter on how she feels, coming off as rude and brutally mean.

Lapis is her mother’s child and often times texts Emerald all throughout the day. They both revel in mean spirited fun at the expense of unknowing Beacon students. It almost makes up for the fact that their daughter is in love with Ruby Rose and Sun Wukong’s boy. 

She is 5′7″, meeting her mother in height
