In 2009 Lufthansa took full ownership of both British Midland and British Midland Regional resulting in a restructuring of the group. In April 2012, BMI British Midland was acquired from Lufthansa by IAG however they did not wish to keep BMIBaby (low cost airline which was closed down) or BMI Regional which was sold onwards to Sector Aviation Holdings. In August 2015, Regional became part of a new airline group called Airline Investments Limited along with sister airline Loganair. By February 2019 however and faced with increasing costs, BMI Regional ceased operations and filed for administration although a number of Embraer aircraft were transferred over to Loganair. #BritishMidland #FlyBMI #BMIRegional #Embraer #Embraer145 #ERJ145 #Lufthansa #29Aviation #Aviation #AvGeek #Plane #Pilot #PlanePorn #InstaPlane #InstagramAviation #MegaPlane #AviationPhotography #PlaneSpotter #ManchesterAirport ##ABZ #BRS #BRU #MUC #LDY #KSD #NCL #Airline #Aircraft (at Manchester Airport) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCbqKsUBS1V/?igshid=1v11h1zbdg7j
