but when they find out Alice is threat. Nash immediately goes back to Libby. He could stay with his brothers but he goes back to his wife, which is the right thing to do. but it shows that for him, love triumphs all. then at the end of glorious rivals, we see that when push comes to shove, Jameson also chooses love. He priorities Avery over his brothers, despite telling Grayson o walk away from Lyra not long before. Actually he does this in the book before too, where he actively choose Avery as his priority. Now I am not saying this is bad on itself, in fact I am glad to see their romances so strong but what I am not understanding why for the other brothers, they can choose love first. But when it come to Grayson, he forced to choose. And if he can’t choose, he has to put them equally. whem push came to shove, both Nash and Jameson picked their loves. I dont really see why Grayson cant do the same, it feels so toxic. Nash and Jameson don’t have to tell their loves “I choose you with my family not over it”, they very openly choose their romance above their family, snd at the end of the day you usually do care more about your wife or girlfriend than your brothers because there your soulmate, but Grayson is not allowed to make that choice, and when he tried, it blew up in his face nd he got told to go to hell for doing what his brothers would done too.

no it IS so toxic!!

because of grayson being raised to think he is the heir, he was raised to put family first. no matter what

so while jameson or xander or even nash could prioritize loves (like emily, or alisa (im talking about the romances that existed while tobias was still alive)) or friendships or other bonds, grayson NEVER could. it was always family first.

and i think, because the other boys had gotten used to this fact over the course of their lives, they expect grayson to still live up to those same standards. even subconsciously, it looks like theyre pushing him into the same tiny box tobias put him in.
