Once Lars had his fill of socializing, he had retreated to the comfort of their table to nurse the drink Dante had gotten for him. While he was never the biggest fan of alcohol, he didn’t mind partaking in a small amount when it came to special occasions; besides, his partner was having a good time and he didn’t want to bring the mood down.

Banter between his company at the table was soon interrupted by the aforementioned demon hunter making his return, beckoning Lars to stand and come dance with him.

The soldier snorted, his smile an incredulous one, “You’re not serious.”

Stealing a quick bashful glance to his table mates, he felt the heat rise up his neck and into his face, turning it a healthy colour as they too egged him on.

Lars’ gaze snapped back, visibly embarrassed, “Oh, you're serious??”

The last time he had ever danced at a party was ages ago, but that count had now gone up once Dante was practically dragging him out of his chair, the half-Swede whimpering awkwardly as he did so.

he was literally the sweetest boy ever and everyone liked him. he wasn’t popular at all so nobody really knew him but everyone just saw him as the charming nice guy who usually kept to himself and didn’t get into trouble ( some people probably thought he was a little troubled internally because of that especially after his father ). he did a lot of theater at school and was in dorky history clubs, etc. he was a decent singer so he always had the lead in a lot of theater productions at school. his biggest role was the beast / the prince in beauty and the beast. his mother went to all of his shows, she loved them dearly. his father not so much, though he never exactly hated them. his father had a strange way of viewing adam’s interests. it was never from a place of hatred or malice, but envy and confusion. nonetheless, he would come and support his son, even if he was confused of his own feelings about him and what he did.

he was a very anxious teenager but was much more anxious as a child. he was always at his mother’s side, which she enjoyed even if it meant her son was in turmoil. it never seemed to matter, she did love him, but just a tiny bit more when he needed her.

It’s the middle of the night, burgeoning toward dawn in the hours to come.  It’s this time of darkness that he dares stand near the docks with a cigarette between his lips.  Sean breathes in the smoke.  Exhales it in a steady stream, scattered away in the air with the wind.  He hides this habit, finding it an unsavory one for his status among the community.  He often deals with a dilemma - he wishes to not be idealized by the community with this sad saint title bestowed upon him, but he also feels the need to comply with that image.  Smoking?  Not the most pious.

Breaking News: Senator Saraki denies link with Offa robbery, ready for police invitation

The President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, says the plot by the police to link him with the April 5 Offa robbery is meant to embarrass him.

Saraki said this in a statement issued in Abuja signed by his Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Mr Yusuph Olaniyonu.

The police spokesman, Moshood Jimoh said on Sunday in Abuja that they had invited Saraki to come and explain allegations of complicity in the recent attacks by suspected armed robbers on some banks in Offa.

He said more than 30 people, including nine policemen and a pregnant woman, were killed during the attack.

Jimoh said five of the suspects arrested had claimed that they were thugs working for Saraki and Kwara governor Abdulfatai Ahmed.

“I will want the entire public to disregard this claim as a baseless allegation and another ploy by the Police to implicate him by all means.

“Let it be known that there is no way I could have been associated with armed robbery against my people, he said.

He recalled that when the incident happened, he was the first top public official to pay a visit to the place, according to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN.

He said he had, during a visit to palace of the traditional ruler, put a call to the InspectorGeneral of Police, Ibrahim Idris, requesting him to make certain specific security arrangements as demanded by the people.

“Members of the public will remember that on May 16, 2018, I alerted the Senate about the information passed on to me by my State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatai Ahmed, over a plot by the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, to frame me up by getting some suspected cultists arrested in Ilorin to implicate me.

“It is believed that the timely leakage of the plot in that case aborted the use of the suspected cultists to implicate me. Now, it is the Offa bank robbery suspects that are about to be used.

“Like the earlier one, this frame-up will also fail as I hereby state categorically that I have no link with any band of criminals,” Saraki said.

He said he was ready to honour the police’s invitation whenever it wqs extended to him.

“As a person, who has utmost respect for the Rule of Law and all constitutional institutions, when the invitation from the Police is formally extended to me, I will be ready to honour it without any delay.
