Talking about circular economy
As an designer, we somehow think about to do something for our earth which might be sustainable product or system. The world could be unlikely peace if everyone follow the rule or system to reduce as much as possible wastes. How ever, as a student, we had plan to make the system work. Who could be the chair man to make it happen? and it probably won’t make any money through this process; it might take a lot of efforts to express your idea to others; it might turn to be end of nothing because of no one supported...
It is hard topic to make it work. B is getting back his passionate to proceed his profession as doing circular economy. With System Thinking class which the professor showed them the site: https://kumu.io/ to help with complex logic of thinking which I would say “mind set” as a designer’s language.
Finally, what is exactly circular economy? The basic idea is to recycle the broken part of your stuff and re-make them into another usable product. So people won’t own the product instead of borrowing products. https://www.ellenmacarthurfoundation.org/circular-economy/overview/concept
For example, Gogoro sells its scooters but the customers borrow the batteries from Gogoro. That makes Gogoro maintains good quality of the batteries and also keep the most expensive part of the product. It can control all the batteries and not let the user to dispose the batteries.
“It should be human’s future!” B said.
