I work in the 1816 section of a living history museum, so of course I had to get around making some roughly period moccasins.Β βPucker toeβ style, made of elkhide! Iβm told the Lenape favored this cut because lack of a seam didnβt leave so obvious a track as center seam moccasins. Clever... Theyβre comfy, and IΒ appreciate the comparative lack of sewing! Turned out well, I think, especially for a first go at so many things. Since my feet are so narrow, Iβm thinking Iβll try ditching the tongue entirely next time, and narrowing my toe piece... Major thanks to my teacher, who walked me through the whole thing, made and gifted me the toe pieces, and patiently suffered through me puzzling out verbal directions. Thaaank u, boss!  q(*^β½^*)γ
