When Tumblr loves a bug so hard, their comments sound like a mass hate campaign:
Broccoli Knuckle Duster by David Delahunty
She saw a fox and she is DEEPLY unhappy about it.
(It was in the garden. It ran back to the woods when we came outside but she's still puffing herself up about it.)

My best friend elasmosaurus platyurus!!
ok so this is another long shot but a few years ago there was a twitter post (in japanese i think?) that had measurememts for how to make this book stand thing out of cardboard that you could use to double up books and use up more space on shelves
back then i made a bunch of these but by now i lost the pic and dont know how to find the original post anymore
if it comes down to it i can just take one apart and get the measurements from there but i would be very grateful if anyone happens to have the original post or something similar??
don't mind how long it's been since i made this post, anyway i realized that i don't even need to take one apart to get the measurements when i can literally just unfold it and refold it /FACEPALM
so anyway here is the diagram for anyone else who is interested!!
this requires pretty big carboard pieces, if you have a really big box or something you can make it from one piece, but if you don't, you can also just make each of the pieces individually and then tape them together
and then in the end you put it together like this!!
and then when you make a bunch you can put them all next to each other and stack your books like crazy
EVERYONE START GETTING MORE USE OUT OF YOUR SPACE NOW!!!!
I like ichthyosaurs, they are like if a lizard was also a tuna

alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined

Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

A timelapse of the Chickadee nest, from building until tonight. She has spent the night in the box from day 2. I am not sure if she has started laying eggs but it is possible since she has stopped bringing moss in and is mostly furnishing with more fuzz. Apart from the raccoon hair I also see some alpaca wool that I put out for the birds. Pet and human hair, dryer lint and yarns are not recommended, they can harm baby birds. (Audubon has a great list of things you can put out as nesting material.)
A tragic scene:
My turtle notices the blueberry I put out for him but in his excitement he drops it into his pond. He considers a recovery mission on his own, then turns to me for assistance instead.
Fear not- the berry was retrieved and the turtle was able to enjoy it as intended

Eaglets were observed in a Chicago cemetery and at a Southeast Side park this spring, marking a historic milestone.
BABY EAGLES IN CHICAGO!
It's been over a hundred years and they're back, they're nesting here, there's enough healthy food in the water to support breeding pairs, there's enough space for them. Eaglets in city limits again. I'd never considered this was something we could have.
red breasted nuthatches are my favorite nuthatches that live in my area but thatâs not a hard contest to win since weâve only got two nuthatch species
