This will be the first-ever survey of the historically significant Photoworks by the artist, whose treatment of photography has continued to be daring and inspirational. Curated ​by Christopher Phillips, a renowned curator and art critic specializing in photography, the exhibition will present a selection of Zheng Guogu’s Photoworks from 1993 to 2016 and will be on view from March 9 through ​May 18, 2019.

In anticipation of our forthcoming trend analysis from Miami Art Basel @artbaselmiami, we couldn’t resist showing you these optical illusion photographs by Chinese artist Liu Bolin, which were exhibited by Eli Klein Fine Art in New York at the Art Asia satellite show. We love the fusion of fashion, street art and political discourse shown here.

And Eli Klein - is his hair self-greasing? Because he is totally coming across as a slimeball.

Opening tomorrow at the Eli Klein gallery, Liu Bolin (known as The Real Life Invisible Man, or the Human Chameleon) will be exhibiting new photographs from his "Hiding in New York" project, where the artist painted himself in camouflage to disappear into the scenery behind him. The photos will be on display through May. 

Disappearing Act: One sure way to get lots of attention is by vanishing. That was the case of Chinese artist Liu Bolin, who, in a performative act of appropriation, homage, and tagging, camouflaged himself into the Kenny Scharf mural at Houston and Bowery this week. The painting on painting was staged by Wooster Collective and dealer Eli Klein.
