And that's true, it's not like he hasn't been laughed at before, maybe not so much when he's wearing the cowl and cape, but that doesn't mean he's not used to it in some form or another. Either way, it's something more complicated than a worry of being laughed at that keeps him from saying what it is. He'd much rather continue working like he was, on the little datapad in his hand, than talk about it.
