Alright, kids. Letās begin this next share with a disclaimer. Drinking adult beverages is by far an unhealthy habit, especially if you donāt take moderation into account. That said, I have to wonder whether ELEL made their new single just for me. The Nashville, Tennessee trio gives us some insanely fun and catchy indie pop on their whimsically cavorting new tune, Tequila.Ā āI need a tequila la la laā might as well be my go to jingle when Iām out nowadays, considering how often thatās my go to drink, for better or for worse. ELEL follows on their summer release Early In The Morning with a much festive and playful ditty, of which they say:Ā "This song is really fun for us to play live. It works on a party-level really well. But I wrote it in a very difficult time. Life was falling apart all around me and some days it felt like success if I could just hold it together, get to the night, and have a tequila. I wanted this to be more than just a silly drinking song, so when I wrote the verses, I decided to make them as insane sounding as possible. I tried to sing like Ella Fitzgerald or something. I could hear the people next door laughing, but felt really excited about it. Definitely felt risky and out of control, but that's how my life felt that day, so I went with it.ā Tequila is a tongue-in-cheek, brassy swinging romper thatās sure to put a smile on your face and a spring in your step.
