why i like them

she’s a complete badass (she was a queen when she was 14!!! then a kickass senator, plus a total babe like she consistently went hard with all her outfits. also the line “so this is how democracy dies, to thunderous applause” is GOD TIER

why i don’t

this is really more of a gripe against georg lucas, but in RotS her character was basically reduced to a barefoot-and-pregnant plot device. the original concept where she has the twins then goes to mustafar to shank anakin is way better and they should have kept it.

Leia

why i like them

i’ve loved Leia since the first time i watched star wars when i was 3 years old, i was torn between wanting to be her and wanting to marry her. She’s always been such an inspiration to me, and has been a very important strong female role model in my life (a lot of that has to do with carrie as well), and she’s helped me through some really rough times. 100% comfort character.

why i don’t

her character in tlj was kinda shit (thanks ryan) but i still love her with all my heart

uhh anytime she’s on screen anytime it shows her force sensitivity; the end of esb, in rotj when she knows luke got off the death star, and as stupid looking as it was, when she used the force to pull herself back to the ship i bawled like a baby
