Ah, Zanski and that slinky burning drawl... It melts me to the core every time I listen to one of his tunes. I guess you could say I’m a “fool’ for Fool, but in a good way. The electro-soul and R&B funk swooner is the Canadian artist’s latest exhibition of fine musicality and expert delivery, a Jai Paul meets Opia and RKCB sort of gooey, moody sonic courter. It’s a new taste from Zanski’s forthcoming EP, Derivative Emotion, arriving next month. You can also jam out to Fool on Spotify, here.
Not only did Portland by way of LA newcomer Phil Good come up with one of the most clever artist names of the year, but he arrives with a scintillating debut as well. Sleeping In is a vivacious sleek and dapper dashing slice of indie electronica and alt pop. To be honest, I can’t remember the last time I had the fortune of sleeping in, but who wants to sleep in when they can wake up and dive into a resplendent grooving, sooty simmering treasure like this jam? “Waking up is boring” sings Phil Good. Oh, but I disagree, sir. Phil Good teamed up with Cheat Codes’ Trevor Dahl on the slick sweltering debut, a flying start for this new artist.
You know you’re in for a treat if new Sekuoia surfaces, and it features, of all people, scintillating, edgy pop artist Kill J! Lamp In The Dark is a sensual beauty to behold, a dreamy concoction made up of glossy spacious production and Kill J’s bewitching vocals. As suggested in its title, Lamp In The Dark irradiates a soft light, as if fighting a cold chasm of desolation ready to engulf it at any time. This Danish collaboration is divine, and it leaves me hoping for more Kill J and Sekuoia in the future. Purchase Lamp In The Dark from various outlets, here.

FirahFabe - Static Mind (Original)
This has been the longest piece I have written so far. It took me a few days to work on this. It is more of my stress reliever because I have just had too much on my mind. The distorted glitches conveys my worries and doubts throughout these past few months. I wanted to experiment a string quartet with these glitch sounds because I haven't seen too much of it done. I did experiment with a piano and drums piece with the glitch sounds though.

OFFICIAL VID: Physical Therapy - Do It Alone
Brooklyn producer Physical Therapy has another dizzying, high tempo, electronic tune for us. Do It Alone is a blissed out future pop track filled with layers of frenetic noise. Though bright, there are very dark gothy undertones throughout. The accompanying video is an odd Wild West cartoon animation.
