30 Day Pokemon Challenge Day 28 - First Shiny Catch/Dream Shiny

It’s how casual Twerps and Rocket Gang are with each other during some episodes. I mean, this episode is such a good example of how Rocket Gang actually didn’t really do anything wrong until the very, very last minute. Jessie saves Ash’s Aipom early in the episode, and since Ash does own her a favor for doing so, she kindly asks him if she could borrow Aipom for unofficial Contest. And Ash agrees? My episode quickly became one of my favourites. I also remembered that I just hugely adore Aipom <3

Somehow these two seemed to work so well together I’m honestly amazed. But what I found really nice was how Jessie was shown to be so creative with a ‘mon she’s never used before. How she studied Aipom’s moves, worked on new combos in such short time, and eventually beat Dawn in their Contest Battle. Dawn is a noobie after all, while Jessie’s done Contests before in Hoenn.

Ash being so jealous of how well the two were bonding on such short while was somehow hilarious to watch. I mean seriously. He was legit worried Aipom would choose to go with Jessie after this Contest.

One of my favourite moments in this episode? How Rocket Gang’s habits have them stealing their own prize, and they don’t realise it. But Ash, Dawn and Brock do and they’re just so confused. The only reason Rocket Gang gets blasted off eventually is because Aipom wanted to eat the bananas they won and Rocket Gang did not appreciate the act. :’’D Honestly, that was so weird. I honestly thought Aipom and Jessie bonded somewhat. Maybe Aipom just really wanted to do a Contest, as Brock does say at the end, she seems to be more interested in them than in Gym Battles. Which Ash is still in denial about. :3 Silly boy.

Day 342 - Eipam | エイパム | Aipom (Shiny)

They’re mischievous, and constantly steal fruits. Rich families have gardens grown specifically for Eipam in some parts of Johto. It uses its tail a lot more than its actual hands.
