BUT ANYWAYS PHOENIX. First off, she’d be heckin’ marveling at how efficient and focusing they are for the flames? Like… compared to what she has access to in the 18th century, gas certainly wasn’t something used all that much so. Very Cool for her to see and learn and she would be paying attention very closely during the instruction. 

And then she’d probably experiment trying to get the highest flame possible by adding chemicals to it or adjusting the gas/air flow. Very totally reasonable not-dangerous-at-all things that you’re most certainly allowed to do in your average lab. Obviously.
