Just months ago Robert was the only person that could see through John despite the whole village (bar Mack) telling him the sun shone out his ass and that was based on what a hunch? But when it comes to actual convicted armed robber who he’s petrified of because he’s so unpredictable and crazy he trusts him wholeheartedly and can’t be convinced otherwise?

So yeah I do have an issue with how Robert is being portrayed because he’s being made dumb to tell this stupid nonsensical storyline just like Aaron was made dumb for the John nonsense. If you change Characters personalities for the sake of storytelling then characters become inconsistent and they lose their way.
