Whoa.
Not every day a sensation like that came over him.
He stumbled, but he didnât notice; one of his men, Tullk, caught him before he fell. He was asking Yondu what was wrong, what happened - but Yondu couldnât hear him. All he could hear was a ringing silence.
It felt cold. Serene, but wrong. Powerful. Old. He was drawn to it, and yet wanted to run far, far away. The sound of his own breathing was amplified; unnatural, his senses whispered to him insistently.
Oblivious to Tullkâs attempts to rouse him from his trance, the Centaurian started to scan the area in an attempt to locate the source of the ethereal power. His eyes came to rest on a woman, not far from where he stood, held up by his loyal crewman.Â
Unnatural. Unnatural. The same thought crossed his mind again and again, brow furrowing as his muddled mind tried to make sense of it all. Had he a clearer mind, he would have cursed his damn Centaurian abilities and been on his merry way.
But, he wasnât. All he could do was stare in awe and hiss out the words,
âWho the hell are you...?â
