I forgot just how likable McGonagall is in book 5. She really shines--her take-no-shit attitude juxtaposing Umbrige's sickly sweet passive aggressive one. And even though her stance is still "I'm not your mom I'm your teacher" and she's not going to baby her students she is still sympathetic in her own way (TAKE THE GOD DAMN GINGER NEWT POTTER). And the moment she finds out that the toad is going beyond just antagonizing to maiming her students the claws are out. And lets not forget the chandelier incident.

so this is super random but i have had japanese homestay students staying at my house for a while, and it gave me an idea:
solangelo homestay au!!! where nico travels from italy to america to better his english and they fall in loveee!!! (also with lots of will's siblings and family)
