This Easy Beef Belyashi Burger has the tastes of traditional Russian belyashi and the ease of a burger. The crispy dough surrounds juicy beef patties, making for a unique and tasty burger experience.
Ingredients: 500g ground beef. 1 onion, finely chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon paprika. 1/4 teaspoon cumin. 1/4 teaspoon coriander. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup warm water. 1 teaspoon active dry yeast. 1/2 teaspoon sugar. Vegetable oil for frying. Sliced tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles for garnish. Burger buns.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy. In a separate bowl, mix the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, cumin, and coriander. Divide the mixture into equal-sized patties. In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut it into circles large enough to encase the beef patties. Place a beef patty in the center of each dough circle and fold the edges to seal, forming a stuffed bun. Fry the stuffed buns in the hot oil until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides. Drain on paper towels. Assemble your burgers by placing a beef belyashi patty inside a burger bun and garnish with sliced tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles. Serve hot and enjoy!
