#easter headcanons

your kombatant honey and dyeing eggs for easter!! (or Ostara for our pagan friends here <3) I know I’m early but I can’t help myself. 

Kabal: He’d be happy to dye eggs with you for the holiday. He probably didn’t get to as a kid so he’s eager to color eggs, being a kid at heart. Knowing this guy is a bottomless pit because of his appetite and metabolism, he’s eating them as much as dyeing them. He would also draw bunnies or dragons on them using crayons he finds from in your stuff.

Kano: He would like to join you only to steal some eggs for his lunch later. He likes to draw crudely drawn genitalia on the eggs and laugh about it. He is a slob getting the dye everywhere or getting his fingers all colors of the rainbow. He also likes to grind up the eggshells to add to his protein shakes in the morning. Since its the time of year for fertility and rebirth, he will make digs to “celebrate” in other ways.

Erron Black: Erron finds your tradition cute to dye eggs every year for the coming of spring. He likes to draw cowboy hats and little guns on his eggs to look like cowboys and fat bankers. If theres a cracked one, he’ll draw a bullet hole on the crack and a (X_X)  face on it. He likes to steal them from the fridge at night as a late night snack too. He may as well doodle the other members of the Black Dragon on them as a joke. Like Kabal with a mustache and and an eyepatch, Kano with a spider hanging from his nose, ect.

Kitana: Being an Edenian, she is unfamiliar with Earthrealm customs. She finds a celebration of the coming of spring with eggs, rabbits, baby chicks and coloring eggs a sweet and innocent custom she wishes she had at home. She finds the act of dyeing eggs a fun tradition and a cute activity for children to do. However she’d be happy to do it with you. She has a very steady hand so she would decorate them with her most beautiful handiwork. She also feels sad that she has to destroy and eat her creations in the end but she has a blast with you.

Baraka: He finds this tradition strange but he will participate. He doesn’t handle eggs often so expect a lot of broken eggs. Or smashed ones but he will eat what he messes up, eggshells and all. He likes to make most of his eggs look like they have red spots on them mostly dyed yellow or dark pink. (since red is a hard color to dye eggs with.)

OH YEAH..... YEAH THAT’S IMPORTANT

They use plastic eggs instead of real ones because Percy doesn’t want real eggs lying around the house, which, considering the nature of most of the family... is a valid concern

Giovanni and Sylvie use Molly’s baby bear eyes to sway her into buying chocolate to put into them, though, because what’s an egg hunt with no chocolate?

Zora demands is given the position of “egg hider” because she IS the hide-and-seek master (aside from Yoomtah of course)

Sylvie’s also good, but Zora refuses to split the role with him

She actually does it before the sun rises and everything so that once everyone wakes up, the eggs are already hidden

They play under “finders keepers” rules (because “that’s th’only fair way tah do it!”) so Giovanni, Ramsey, and Indus are CUTTHROAT

Mera and Sylvie both pretend not to care but they’re aggressive as HECK

Molly is just excited to be playing and also happens to be good at finding all the ones tucked into small crevices

Howie doesn’t participate but when he opens the coffee grinder and there’s one inside, he just stares Zora dead in the eye while she snickers and proceeds to not take it out while making his coffee

“Howie, did you see any—” “Nope.”

Frankie: Tries to stay up all night to meet the Easter bunny but fails every year. Her and Freddie have matching bunny and chick onesies that they wear. Frankie design and makes a new basket every year. She loves chocolate bunnies but always feel bad about eating them

Freddie: Frankie and Mason are super competitive about who can find the most eggs so Freddie will try waking up as early as possible to try finding as many eggs as she can for future reference. She is in looove with all of the chocolate and candy she gets and will kill anyone who tries to take it from her.

Mason: He gets super competitive with trying to beat Freddie but he doesn’t even consider or try cheating in any way, except for when Frankie tells him where a hidden egg may be. He loves those like Cadbury Easter eggs. He also has a large collection of those Easter bunny ears just in case... He always wears a pair the whole Easter Weekend

Avery: Doesn’t get as into the spirit of it as the rest of them do but will wear one of the pairs of bunny ears Mason has because Freddie forces them to. They wear some Easter related T-shirt and they also help Freddie try to beat Mason. They LOVE peeps and that is the only candy they can get from Freddie, although sometimes they have to wrestle her for them. They love peeps so much it’s scary. Freddie tried making them home made peeps but they failed and almost burned down the kitchen. Freddie always loudly sings I Want Candy in their face and even though they say it’s one of the most annoying things ever they love it and find it adorable.
