Easthies, out of everyone, has the most adverse reaction to Qifrey wanting to become a Professor- but he can't really do anything about it or call for a ban on Qifrey's pursuit of such a thing [he's still a Knight in training, after all] -> He tries though! he certainly tries! "You cannot be serious about this! Who's to say he won't- won't attempt to teach them the same forbidden magic he came from!?" "...every day, your stupidity continues to astound me. Perhaps you would like to be my first student?"
i almost feel like, if Olruggio hadn't beaten him to it, Easthies would've requested to be his Watchful Eye- just to make absolutely sure nothing was afoot [with time though, his distrust and hatred dulls- especially upon seeing the viciousness by which Qifrey protects his students. Begrudging respect blooms, and grows even further after Luluci joins his ranks]

Rewatched the anime and quickly drew Easthies with Qifrey. There was definitely something toxic between them 🫣
My little contribution to the easfrey people.😚💅🏾 I'm only on the 6th manga but I do see the vision everyone talks about.. Like no way they aren't exes where only Qifrey mostly got over him and Easthies is the one that still clings on to it. That's why any time they interact there's so much tension! I do believe every once in a while they meet up to release some stress but Qifrey feels guilty most of the time and tries to leave right after but Easthies never lets him so they argue. (Usually tho after all that Qifrey falls asleep and sleeps like he didn't just do all that 🥹).
there is absolutely nothing funny about being an easfrey shipper when there’s only 4 fics on ao3….. and god bless those 4 people btw
