Morty is the only one whose feet don’t completely touch the ground here, and that’s so stinkin cute!? 😭 -> ..but also how tall are those chairs?? Morty is often the shortest in frame, sure, unless they're dealing with a micro-sized species of alien, but this feels... less intentional than subtly impressing how often isolated he is from any form of support and looked down upon. maybe it's just a cute detail

Digimon is much more dystopian by contrast, leaning more into the idea of accepting that- though you can change- you will always harbor what you started as. and you cannot escape what you'll become

an unlikely team-up sort of trope episode would've been especially neat, because it would highlight PM's innate craftiness and what he turns into when he feels locked into a corner while also— perhaps— taking the chance to humanize PR a wee bit from this caricature he was up until his death

because Morties aren't supposed to do that, his Morty isn't supposed to know how to predict him to shreds or operate his things with only a little finagling, his Morty isn't supposed to lose his stutter tearing into people, or be so crafty

Morty misses so much school doing odd shit or being odd shit, that when he is there a full week everybody assumes he's there to end the world or something
