#earwigs

Y'know how there are things in nature about whose existence your ability to be chill with exists very much on a sliding scale of size? Because we are having some kind of seasonal earwig invasion at the house I'm living in, and what I'm saying is that it turns out that earwigs can get a lot bigger than I thought they could, and in the last week or so I have been exposed to an end of that size range that I could have very much gone my whole life without ever knowing about.
