Martians are super weird and I love how squishy and malleable they are. They are just telekinetic creatures with bodies made of semi stable slippery goopy stuff that they will into whatever shape they wish. And with how I want to make things work on my Earth 173, J'onn J'onz is considered the weird guy for being so pointing looking in his naked shape.

Like sure everyone in their Soical Shape for being outside with people is going to be this ideal thought of what they wish to be like, and J'onn is gonna keep that perfict classic cartoony dorito human man shape for that, but like when people are at home with family and close friends they look more like they do as kids? But with more definition? They look like humanoid blobs of cuddly friends who are very round and soft and kinda chibi like but still clearly unique.

But then there is J'onn, who is this long sharp pointy green bean of a man who looks absolutely terrifying to most because quite simply No Martian Looks Like That or at least they haven't in a very very long time. He is somewhere between and it scares the counsels and religious leaders and governments so much because he isnt so fluid like the golds to have an ever changing form nor is he like the reds who are so stable they barely change at all, but he is definitely not a white with 3 simple forms but it's still so wrong for a green to look like that and to have so many shapes he can be.

No he scares those highest ups because he is more like the ancestors before them, the ones who were the restless children of a race too chaotic to live for long before slaughter. He always is too cold, far too cold, he says. He fears the fire but not like he should, and they know it's because he is ment to burn, bright like the star their ancestors came from, and boy do they dread the day he learns to light himself ablaze.

Years and years oh so many years later when J'onn meets M'gann and she shows herself will all these many many complex identafialbe shapes, so different from the 3 shapes with minor variations that most White Martians can do, oh how he cries. She's just like him in so many ways, so powerful and strangely ancient and so very mistrusted because of it. But shes still so different and it makes her all the more special and makes him all the more determined to get her away from her clan and safe in his new Earth home where she can thrive and smile and love; where she can be a hero too.
