because it's been awhile. lemme lay out the facts. bart and tim meet. one of the first things tim says when introducing himself, is that he is from gotham city. almost immediately after, bart (as impulse) meets robin (a gotham vigilante). shortly after, grownups disappear. robin finds impulse and superboy and they team up for the first time, forming young justice. very soon after this, they meet a ghost girl (greta hayes) in a graveyard. while there bart makes a comment about watching mtv news. later, the gotham event known as no man's land happens. as part of this, jack drake broadcasts tim drakes face over every channel he can, in order to get his son out. as a consequence for this, after it's over everyone knows tim as the "kid that was on the news" and tim starts wearing glasses and doing his hair differently in his civilian life (april 2000). around this time (june 2000) robin asks batman if he can reveal his identity to yj. batman says no, but allows him to show them his face. tim takes off the mask, and here is where we get the infamous "tommy dork" panel. skipping ahead to world without young justice, we have bart (as kid flash) calling out to tim (as a civilian) and knowing his real name (this is june of 2002 btw). this is commonly forgotten, as, later in the arc everyone finds out tim is robin anyway, but i digress. this means, that at some point in those two (irl) years, bart allen figured out that tim drake was robin. he is the only member of yj to do so.
anyway this has two main points. one, bart allen is a lot smarter then fandom (and at more times than i care for, canon 😒) gives him credit for. two, shipping purposes. this is one of my favorite barttim facts
